Then what is the difference in the SBS TRANSIT's 0405 and TIBS 0405 Mercedes ? The only difference that I know is the moving sound.Originally posted by Airbus330Captain:MB O405 is the current Mercedes single deck buses operated currently by both SMRT and SBST.

The O405 is the successor of the O305. The Citaroes, in turn, are the replacement for the O405.Originally posted by SBS9828X:erm i mean in specs like there are O306 and O305 O405... so wat are the diff?

1. Common specifications for the L94UB engines are 9.0 litres displacement, in-line 6-cylinder engine with two valves per cylinder, electronic diesel control, turbocharger and charge air cooler.Originally posted by iveco:1. How powerful is the Scania L94UB?
2. Does the Neoplan Centroliner use the same engine as the MAN 24.310?
erm any O0205 or such?Originally posted by iveco:The O405 is the successor of the O305. The Citaroes, in turn, are the replacement for the O405.
The standard engine for the O405 is the MB OM447h, while the O305s use the earlier version OM407h. Currently, the MB engines in production include the OM457 range.
Thers actually 3x more VOs than LOs. If u were to compare, there is no fairness.Originally posted by Donavan:Why are VO3x so prone to breaking-down compared to LO3x? Saw the accident and break-down thread. Dominated by VO3x. Now afraid to go to Clementi. Always have a lot of VO3x one.
bcoz they equip a hammer 4 u to break the windows so no need emergency exits...and not onli the sides were removed, the hind window was oso removed.Originally posted by Donavan:As it seems, lots of VO3x in that accident and break-down thread (about 6 times that of LO3x)... Anyway, why did they get rid of the side emergency exit of VO3x Batch 2 onwards? (93xx and onward)

If the staircase and lower deck are still accessible, use this way to get out. Otherwise, hope that the SCDF personnel arrive fast with the ladders.Originally posted by Donavan:How do you actually use the emergency exit from the upper deck? [From 90xx to 91xx and 93xx, the back exit, 92xx, the back and side exits, and for 94xx to 96xx, the hammers (VO3x only.)] We don't actually jump out of the buses in an emergency, do we?
Was the O306 superceded by the OF and OH series in later years? I seem to find some common features in all of them.Originally posted by hseochin:But i don't think there's any O 207, as 'O' means omnibus which i believe means to them PSV > 3.5 tons GVW. 207 D is below 3.5 tons class so technically would not likely qualify into the O-Class, as i prefer to loosely know it as !
In terms of overall vehicle specifications, i'll consider the O 309
as the entry-level model in the O-Class, as although it also used the entry-level OM 616 engine the O 309 is much larger & heavier than 207 D, definitely
into the T2 series if basing on the GVW ratings !
As for the other 3 models you mentioned, i'll say the O 306 is light years behind the O 305 in specifications. Just 1 digit less but the O 305 is by far clearly the overall vastly superior model over O 306 !! O 405 is overall deemed superior over O 305 but i find the 'jump' in advancement nowhere as great as between O 306 & O 305 !
