2 ways to switch off the tv:-
1) pulling out the key with the engine off, cutting off all electricity in the bus.
2) using the on/off switch located behind the driver's seat. -

1. the first stage of a bus service at the interchange/terminal is 1.0, not 0.0.
2. it has always been that the fare for travelling first 4.0 stages is $0.64, and for 4.5 to 7.0 stages it costs you $0.85.
3. please indicate the service you take and your alighting stop so we can confirm the correct fare you should be paying.
4. if it an isolated incident and only happened once or twice, asking for a refund claim at the transitlink office might solve your problem.

Dear all,
Just noticed that stage of bus has been shortened. i.e. the first stage is changed from early 0-5 to now 0-4.
So I have to pay 85 cents instead of $0.64 from Jurong East to my home (it's at 5).
Is there any announcement for this?

as far as i know, there is no change to fare structure for the shorter distances since their introduction sometime in 1983. only the fares did change. -
all articulated public service vehicles need to have a new type of long vehicle marking done up by 31st july 2007. in addition, any new vehicle longer than 13m will need to have the new type of long vehicle sticker scheme. bascially it's 2 'long vehicle' signs at the back now, and at least 3 red-yellow stripes each at the side.

today,
boarded 159 @ stage 2.0 (outside compass point)
alighted @ stage 5.5 (Blk 946A, Hg ave 9)
fare deducted: 85c for 3.5 stages.
now i wonder how they are going to "investigate" since transitlink can accuse me of boarding at the interchange..
btw.. 159 Direction 1 is from Sengkang, not Toa payoh anymore.. -

However, SBST now lists 159 as a bi-directional service from SKG, while SMRT seems a bit slow with regards to 965. -
do BCs ever get tired of the route they drive each day??
this question striked me when i saw this BC on svc 291. he has been driving this svc for 7yrs now. the same goes for 2 BCs i know who are now driving svc 3. these two drove svc 294 previously. and one BC who has been driving svc 15 for 9yrs nw.
don't they ever get tired of plying the same road 51498165 times? -

Does SBST subcon their buses bodies repair work or maintainence work to outsider?
Today saw a LO3x at a factory at junction of Sungei Kadut st 1/St 3.
That factory was sort of like a wooden furniture workshop or something like that. The LO3x was parked inside. Cant see clearly the rego.
This is not the first time, i saw SBST buses parked there. been seeing SBST buses there for many times and for several years alrd.. I believe they are doing body repair work at this place.
Anyone can reconfirm? -

When I take trunk svcs like 172 or 190, I paid $1.50 for the bus fare but why the BC printed the 55¢ ticket?

I was on board this svc, TIB820?, and the BC printed a dunno wad ticket for no particular reason and after it, he dumped it into the coinbox. Anyone or carbikebus know the reason?
