TIB1257C is ex-CSS Dennis Lance bus. (Its rego plate was CSS310U in CSS fleet)Originally posted by CAIX:Yesterday, I took a Service 980 bus. The rego is 1257? . I was ???? The bus looks almost the same as the Dennis Lances family, only the interior design of this bus is abit weird and its rego is unusual. How come the rego is 1257 ? I though that the Lances are in the 91x to 100x rego ? And it looks like the former CSS lances. Anyone clarify ?
Ohhh... its that one. Wow, is it perm. on 980 ? No wonder I could not find CSS 310 U during my visit to Geylang CSS depot.Originally posted by Apex-LW'21:TIB1257C is ex-CSS Dennis Lance bus. (Its rego plate was CSS310U in CSS fleet)
It's more than 7 years old. It was already around when I moved into Bedok South in 1993.Originally posted by SGEMP:Well, when is the birthday of service 225?
Shuttle service between Clementi MRT station and Sunset Way (I can't remember where in Sunset Way exactly, if I'm not wrong, should be private housing estate area).Originally posted by PhyrePhox:Noticed a Singapore Trolley bus (didn't see rego, sorry) at about 8.10pm today going from Clementi Road into Clementi Ave 2 and later turning into Clementi Ave 4. When I got down from svc 502 right after the Clementi Ave 2 / C'wealth Ave West junction, I noticed the same bus turning back from C'wealth Ave West into Clementi Ave 2.
Apparently it must have dropped off and picked passengers near the MRT as the number of passengers climbed from around 4 or 5 to around 10. Is it a shuttle service? And where was it going?![]()
Service 225 exists from the 80s.Originally posted by kc_leung:It's more than 7 years old. It was already around when I moved into Bedok South in 1993.
Well I would appreciate if anyone could provide the EXACT birthdate of service 225. Thank you.Originally posted by tranquilice:Service 225 exists from the 80s.
Its a mix lah... but usually is the whole fleet type same except for CAC amd MK3 wer its so easy to spot diff.Originally posted by SBS3688Y:Got some confusion with the air-con brands in the SBST Leyland Olympian and Volvo Olympians A/C double-deckers :
In sgwiki - it states Nippon Denso for the above-mentioned fleets.
In Danny Chan's Singapore Bus Handbook; it states Nippondenso for Leyland Olympians and Sutrak for Volvo Olympians (batch 2+3)
But I saw a photo of Volvo Olympian and SMRT smiley volgren in Denso webpage

Even so, I don't think it's too safe to post the pictures here.Originally posted by sinicker:so since ppl have reported seeing cardboard notices of 52 at the busstops this morning, can we say that there is an upcoming svc 52? or shall we wait for the online press release? for those who saw it, could u kindly take a picture of it or something?
I put it up on SINbus. Don't see why I can't put it here. Anybody who walks past this bus stop can see it.Originally posted by iveco:Even so, I don't think it's too safe to post the pictures here.
Maybe they could show the peeps at SinBus.
I know what you mean.. I'm just putting up things that are open and can be seen to the public.. Not leaked information.. not that I have any access to such information anyway...Originally posted by iveco:Firefox: There are differences between open and closed discussion boards. SINbus is SINbus. Sgforums is sgforums. As the saying goes, in Rome do what the Romans do. The explanation has already been given many a time. So yeah, please cooperate. Thanks.Originally posted by PhyrePhox:I put it up on SINbus. Don't see why I can't put it here. Anybody who walks past this bus stop can see it.
updated: Ooops.. I read wrongly. I will get a picture of the signs later, provided it doesn't come up on the SBS Transit web site first of course.
Well, we're "bus enthusiasts". Of course we get "enthusiastic" about such things. Oh well.Originally posted by Zilchster:By the way, it's only an introduction of some new bus services that's all. I don't see the point in you peeps getting excited over it. So please kindly be patient and wait for official press releases from the relevant company.
This one, I have to admit I have never seen it myself. I went looking around along C'wealth Ave West near Clementi Central just a few hours back. Didn't see it. If it is in fact in existence, I sure would like to see it.Originally posted by sinicker:someone said that he/she already saw the cardboard notice at some bus stops. to the person concerned, pls do take a photo if this is true. so, it is a press release by itself, just in the form of print. just that it hasnt been uploaded at the SBST website. which means we'll have to wait for Monday.
I would strongly advise you of doing that. Besides the customer service hotline should be closed during the weekend. Besides, the cust svc hotline may not have enough information to provide you with. Please wait for the official press release be up at ALL the bus stops. I believe they will be up by Monday or latest Tuesday. So kindly be patient and by then you will have all the route details.Originally posted by TIB529A:Why not ask SBS Transit directly?
ouh okay. i thot u said it was the cardboard notices. sorry guys.Originally posted by PhyrePhox:This one, I have to admit I have never seen it myself. This answer is such a no-brainer answer.Originally posted by PhyrePhox:Well, we're "bus enthusiasts". Of course we get "enthusiastic" about such things. Oh well.
