In the mornings sv966 SCs start their FIRST trip from Marine Parade Rd to Woodlands & SCs park their bus along MArine PArade Rd near Paramount Hotel so as to be able to pick up passengers from 0545hrsOriginally posted by SBS9889U:For 966, in the past, they have break outside the condo or oppositenear the roundabout, now , (for the 1st few trips up to 6.50), they have quite a long break when they reach Marine Parade from the depot. (Sometimes 2 BCs chatting) till they depart. At other times, no.
sv16,55,76,135,155 take breaks if they arrive early or use the toilet along Siglap Link before they continue on their journey. It occurs during Off-Peak hours... Not quite frequent as they have a schedule to adhere toOriginally posted by 105090:from what i can see, many loop services BC stops for a brief rest, that is, Except when the looping sector is a one directional sector, eg. sv195 along commonwealth ave is one-directional.
services which i seen having breaks: 82, 103, 103W, 16, 35, 90, 98, 189, most of marnie parade/ Siglap rd services such as 16, 76, 135, 155
once i took sv76 8pm+ from opp PP > loop at siglap link > back to serangoon. the BC ask where i going, then he sound very unhappy. (cant rest i think) actually he can just go ahead and rest.. ok with me.. then pass by siglap rd, saw at least 10 buses parked there..Originally posted by Acx1688:sv16,55,76,135,155 take breaks if they arrive early or use the toilet along Siglap Link before they continue on their journey. The exact location should be right after the roundabout(the trees) . I see them every morning with the BCs chatting.Originally posted by Acx1688:In the mornings sv966 SCs start their FIRST trip from Marine Parade Rd to Woodlands & SCs park their bus along MArine PArade Rd near Paramount Hotel so as to be able to pick up passengers from 0545hrs

yes...from the same district....east or west...sumtimes oso standby BCOriginally posted by samtlk:Is it possible for a depot to 'borrow' buses from another depot due to whatever reasons? I saw a Dennis T on sv157 along Jurong Town Hall Rd turning into JE Ave 1 a few months back (didn't catch the rego but definitely a Dennis T cos orange LED & also the design) & then a BNDEP bus on sv 111 spotted last mth & now the Dennis T on sv7 debate in another thread.
i believe u saw 9810X or 9888Y on 157. enuff said.Originally posted by samtlk:Is it possible for a depot to 'borrow' buses from another depot due to whatever reasons? Itz VERY IMPOSSIBLE that a Trident will appear on BOTH S157 And S7..1st, S7 is now under BNDep and not HGDep. and, itz impossible that ONLY 1 of the Trident went over to other depots outside HGDep. if they wanna do so, all 20 of them will be transferred. Itz impossible that only 1 bus went over... I think some of the other members had already made enough Explaination regardin on this 2 issues. Tridents Had Been in HGDep since the day it entered service and up till now, all of itz 20 Dennis Tridents are still in HGDep WITHOUT going over to the other Depots in SIngapore. Well.. Enough Said.. GEt on with life..Originally posted by samtlk:Is it possible for a depot to 'borrow' buses from another depot due to whatever reasons? At around 6.15am, both will be there.Originally posted by Acx1688:yah around there, i c only a bus most of the time, seldom two together...
9810X & 9888Y are both VSOs & not Tridents. At that time 9888Y was still based in HGDEP so it would also be another spectacular view to see it on 157Originally posted by service_238:i believe u saw 9810X or 9888Y on 157. enuff said.
like i said...Jurong Town Hall Rd waiting at the junction to turn into Jurong East Ave 1 (cannot be wrong...only 157 turns there) & the EDS showed 157. I was on 99 turning from JE Ave 1 into Jurong Town Hall Rd & passed right in front of it. Was as shocked as you...once in a lifetime view.Originally posted by SBS2811P:Woah!!!Trident on 157!!!Too bad,I missed it too.Wat a waste!!!It should be very spectacular!!!Trident on 157!!!So nice!!!
Butthen again hor,u sure u no cock eye?U got see EDS which says 157 and the route details or not?
HGDEP borrowed a number of Mercs from BRAM last year for svc 100. Most of them have gone back, save for 0345.Originally posted by samtlk:like i said...Jurong Town Hall Rd waiting at the junction to turn into Jurong East Ave 1 (cannot be wrong...only 157 turns there). Anyway, which is back to my main question: Is it possible for a depot to 'borrow' buses from another depot.
What about 1-day loans?Originally posted by iveco:HGDEP borrowed a number of Mercs from BRAM last year for svc 100. Most of them have gone back, save for 0345.
