Really salutes SMRT bus services.
majority of the first bus services are so late.
190 first bus 5.50 am from choa chu kang
700 first bus i think is 6.00 am from Bt Panjang.
This morning, National day, got to work, and have been waiting since 5.40am at Bt Panjang Road, the crowds from 10 increase to about 30. still no sign of the first bus services. Really disappointing! Only come at 6.07am
Had reflected to them one year ago, but they say they will monitor the situation. One year later, still the same old nonsense!
190 is such a high demand bus services, the first bus is so late at 5.50am, and last bus is so early at 2330hrs from New Bridge road terminal.
If under SBST, I can guaranted they have the first bus at 5.30am and last bus service at 2345 or 0000hrs.
Can someone write again to SMRT's planners to conduct a feasible study about the demand in the early morning! Maybe all the planners should wake up and work at 5.30am to do surveys. -
184 has too many bendies. Should make them have only 1 - 2 bendies, and send the bendies to the real need like WDL and CCK, BBT.

Ok Brother let me clarified something here,First of all majority of SMRTB SC especially those plying City/Super-packed/Jams area don't really follow their time schedules and loves to speed along those mentioned sectors(Even Some SBST BCs do that but only a handful)that's one reasons why you waited so long.Sv67 is another notorious to do this among the dual depot SCs.If the crowded areas such as Little India timings to be reach by 17.30hrs,Rest assured many will reach there even 10 mins earlier depends on the road conditions and whether his front bus speed or notOriginally posted by phillipC:Really salutes SMRT bus services.

got a long time comment about sv74 during AM peak hour towards Buona Vista. though the guide states frequency is at 3 - 9 mins, i can wait up to 15 minutes at about 8.50am (weekday). on monday, 74 at 9am (amk ave 3) was cramped full and many students especially, cant board it. this happens many times, esp the long freq..
and i really hope m wrong that SBS may be ""against"" tertiary school's services, like sv74, and notorious sv151 (its NAC buses), in terms of bus fleet and frequency.. -

I think you have missed my point here, the thing i like to draw here is why the first bus service(by SMRT Buses) that departs from the Choa Chu kang interchange is so late, 5.50am, instead of the normal first bus service by SBST, which is usually 5.30am. I am confident that there is a justifiable demand for such an early trip of bus service, especially to the Bt panjang's residents. (based on my observations, there are at least 20-30 people (same faces) waiting at the 4 bus stops along bt panjang road for 190 at 5.40am onwards!
Maybe the reason quoted by another fellow is reasonable ie, asking us to take LRT & MRT and NR services may boost their revenue.....$$$$. (profit oriented)
That's why SMRT refused to start the first trip at 5.30am for 190. -
do note that sv190 goes from a heartland to the city area. . if in the AM peak, ppl will take sv190 to work, but no1 starts work at 6am + ? and definitely no one goes there for shopping that early.
and also, the time taken for sv190 to reach town is quite fast. so no need to worry la

Actually there are many uncles and aunties who need to reach the town area to work in the early morning. -

No, my place is the first bus stop at Bt Panjang rd.
if need 700, must walk quite a distance to the interchange. -

I think that maybe the scenario are just like Sv 105 & 153(@ TPY) where they will play "You go first and pick up all the paxs while i follow behind" and after that they zoomed...(BC Whom didn't like to take more pax style)

today i waited about more than 20 min for 48 from buono vista term to come out. all the buses hav come out already, including 3 74s, 3 95s, and all other buses, still no 48 in sight.
is the freq of 48 normally 20 to 25 minute? 48 seems to hav lower dd. at least from what i see at from buona vista to farrer to bukit timah area---after that i dunno. -
it has been for years..I am staying in teckwhye and studing in regent secondary school.I actually can spent 45cents to take 307 from teckwhye to my sch everymorning.but during morning almost all the 307 bus that arrive at teckwhye interchange all shown a "E" which terminates at cck interchange..
This "E" thing cause me to take LRT to cck interchange to transfer to 307 there..wasting me 35cents! -

Service 31 is packed up aft 8.30am from tampines interchange cos no more 31a. & some students start sch at 9am Ppl waiting for bus all opp tampines stadium & blk 147 bus stops sad 4 them. They duno have 2 wait how long b4 they r able to board the bus Mayb the 31a should run until 9am.

38/82/291/293 should be fully aircon fleet. but duno y there are cameos of non aircon single deck buses. Then 37 is fully non-aircon fleet or partial aircon fleet or fully aircon fleet? 28 partial aircon fleet or fully aircon fleet? They should make it clear on its online guide. Haiz. Shed it .
