So I assume you are referring to the part near Kallang MRT station. Board services 33 or 63 along Kallang Rd opposite Lor 1 Geylang terminal, alight along Tiong Bahru Rd Blk 55. There, you can see Tiong Poh Rd. -

well i need to get from bishan to boon lay interchange. Well currently mrt is the only way i know which takes ard 1 hr.. is there any way i can make use of any expressbuses or something to reduce my travelling time? Thanks. I dun mind taking mrt to certain station and change a bus too.

CJC xfer 985 Upper Bukit Timah Rd/Jalan Jurong Kechil xfer 174 Boon Lay
Waiting time could be quite long for 985. At Upper Bukit Timah Rd/Jalan Jurong Kechil, there's 157 to Boon Lay also, but it will be quite long winded with many bus stops and traffic junctions thru Jurong East/West Ave 1. 174 use Old Jurong Rd, which much less traffic, thus, faster.
Option 2. 156 CJC xfer 506 Bukit Batok xfer MRT or 174 Boon Lay
Option 3. 156 Bukit Timah Rd xfer 174 Boon Lay
Option 4. 156 Bradell Rd xfer 157 or Lornie Rd xfer 157/74/852 (have to walk to another bus stop) Bukit Timah Rd xfer 174 (this option is rather similar to Option 3, only difference is that it skips Thomson Rd and PIE/Whitley, and shorten the journey between MacRitchie Rsvr. and Bukit Timah, waste $ though )
Option 5: 156 Bradell Rd xfer 157 Boon Lay -

imo, option 2 which uses 506 express may actually be faster than mrt since it uses express almost all the way until bukit batok station(provided PIE traffic is smooth). while 985 will gets out of express at the begin of upper bukit timah road.Originally posted by Altis84:hrmm any idea does these takes shorter time den mrt? -
also for option 4 if u wish to take 156 and changed to 74/852, u hav to walk a little because they do not meet at the same bus stop.

if u accessing the park btw thru the entrance btw MICA n ctrl fire station, just walk to adelphi cross rd to funan ctr n cross rd to the park -

bishan-toa payoh ~10-15mins?, toa payoh to bukit batok ~20mins, bukit batok to boonlay via mrt ~10-15mins...excluding waiting times...
other options simply take too much time...
if u pay normal adult fare, u might as well stick to mrt
