when was there TIBS Sv 184A (Ends At Ngee Ann Poly) i even saw a photo of it inside NP..
and when did sv712A (P.Sakra) operates or exists?
Did JRDEP (Penjuru) ever take charge of any CLE service before?
Also, was 92 (CLE-PLAB) from BBDEP or ARBP?
I'm sorry. Bus depot deployments are not my forte. I'm more into route and technical details.Originally posted by carbikebus:Hmm...Must ask the bus history experts like Suhirman or TranquilIce.They should provide some answers![]()
Wow! This is a tall order! I'd suggest you get a copy of Mr. Mike Davis' new book. The answers are all inside; a real treasure trove.Originally posted by CAIX:Can anybody tell me more about the older buses, those engines in the font ?, like the OF's, MB 03xx, Leyland Victory, the Vkings ? Because I was born in 1992 so I don't know any of them. Also anybody knows facts of these old buses can also show us.
Thanks in advance.

Yes, I'm waiting for his book to be delivered. I have already ordered. As well, thanks for the information. IMO, SBS uses most of the leyland buses in the past. The last of the NAC DD Leyland is Leyland Atlantean and Olympian. Oh yes, is there different batch of LO2x ? like the 5xxx series, 6xxx series and 71xx series. Are they different batch of Leyland Olympian like VO2x got Batch 1 to 4 ? And what are - ONTL11.2R - AN68.2R ?Originally posted by The_Bus_Guide:Wow! This is a tall order! I remember ex-service 92 had alot of MK3 back in the early 90s. But I'm not sure these MK3s were from BBDEP or ARBP.Originally posted by iveco:Also, was 92 (CLE-PLAB) from BBDEP or ARBP?
I don't know when service 184A was introduced. It was withdrawn sometime in 2003 when the right turn from Clementi Rd into Ngee Ann Poly was removed due to the new flyover.Originally posted by 105090:i chanced upon a website, and needs to know some answers to:

Leyland was the leading bus manufacturer at that time. The earlier orders of Leyland chassis was so that there would be a conformity of parts between the various models, a practice that still carry on today, albeit with the company which 'swallowed' Leyland.Originally posted by CAIX:Yes, I'm waiting for his book to be delivered. Service 74A was not withdrawn, if this is what you mean.Originally posted by sbst275:That happened to 74A as well
74A was finally withdrawn soon after, as it was no much difference between it and the Original full route 74. since NP is quite close to Buona Vista already..Originally posted by tranquilice:Service 74A was not withdrawn, if this is what you mean.http://www.sbstransit.com.sg/whatsnew_17march2003.asp
The bus in the middle (SBS 5337Y) had a Metal Sections body. The one to its left was the British Aluminium Company (BACo) body. It workings were not confined to 140 as they had been deployed on other services as well such as 133, 132 and 159 to name few. Their 5XXX registration suggests that they were based at Ang Mo Kio Depot.Originally posted by sbst275:yes, the 1st batch that came in 1977
