Here's the continuous history of service 13 and it has NEVER been withdrawn since 1st introduction (excludes STC's service 13).Originally posted by bluezombie10:question for svc 13:
i noticed that svc 13 was originally a kg chai chee to ghim moh service originally, and that it was extended to bedok interchange when chai chee terminal was demolished. afterwards, it became a bedok - ghim moh service. when did the service change to the previous Eunos - Yio Chu Kang service? was the service re-introduced?
yes it did ply marine terrace.Originally posted by bluezombie10:Service 15: Re-introduced in 1995. Between Pasir Ris interchange and Eunos interchange. In 1997, merged with service M4 and extended to Marine Parade. Used to ply Marine Cres in both directions and Marine Terrace towards Pasir Ris, sectors deleted later. --> i believe this service only plied marine crescent for both directions only, never did ply marine terrace for return trip to pasir ris.
That's right. The extra holder was originally intended to hold a gold coloured plaque indicating "Service Of The Month". Then, when the first buses with all over ads came out, they are used to hold a white plastic plate with the SBS logo on it in red. Later still, the holders were used for small ads.Originally posted by lemon1974:The 2 side desto holders, were not meant for the above. SBS have introduced some best services awards more than 10 years ago. awarding some services best services of the month. And these services got to display a side plate (which is gold in colour i think), indicating it is best service of the month. That why there is two side desto plate.... SV155 once got this best service award.
now i remember... lots on mk2 and 3 but not sure bout O405 though...Originally posted by The_Bus_Guide:That's right. It did happen a few times, especially during times of festivals, like Hari Raya, Chinese New Year, etc.Originally posted by sBs_boy:Show me the Ticket or a pix and i'll believe what youve said...

Bedok Road/Upper Changi Road - Commonwealth Ave
Chai Chee - Commonwealth Ave
Chai Chee - Ghim Moh
Eunos - Ghim Moh
Eunos - Yio Chu Kang
Yio Chu Kang - Marine Parade
Yio Chu Kang - Siglap Road (loop)
Yio Chu Kang - Upper East Coast
Nothing happened in between the 2 bold lines, brother. It just went from Eunos - Ghim Moh to Eunos - Yio Chu Kang "snap" just like that. Amazing, yes, but its true. And it became a full A/C service
ok thanks...Originally posted by supremebull:yes it did ply marine terrace.
The O405 have them too. The ones which don't have them are those with the side desto box. In other words, the buses which came after 1993.Originally posted by SBS9828X:now i remember... lots on mk2 and 3 but not sure bout O405 though...

Some people must be complaining not to get their money worth sitting in NAC NR service, especially if it's a warm night. Then again, those cold types will be thankful.Originally posted by Apex-LW'21:Anyway, the 2 NAC buses plied on NR1 in 2000 (Hino HT238K), were charged the same flat rate of $3. funny thing was that there was never a svc 296. had expected it to be introduced to cover tampines ave 6, st 71 area if not for the townlink svc plan.Originally posted by SBS9828X:+++ 296 and 291? wen was it?
