Do u mean Scania N113CRB NAC?Originally posted by sinicker:hi there guys.
when i was in kindergarten and in P1, there used to have this old NAC SDs which plied on feeders like 291/294. what buses are these? any pix. to help me recognise them easily?
and i love LA NAC DDs.
I don't think the N113CRB were used on feeder services then yet. It could possibly be the Volvo B57s with NZMB bodies.Originally posted by Volvo Olympian:Do u mean Scania N113CRB NAC?
I don't think 354 ever used O.405s.Originally posted by iveco:Mercs used to dominate 350 in 1995/96. Other feeders used Scanias. Later those Mercs went over to 354.
Dont get what you mean.. B57 had been w/d from the fleet for a very long time already. If you are referring to the particular model which is still running on the road... It should be the Scania CRB N113 NAC.. (Based on what you've said..)Originally posted by sinicker:that volvo B57 seems familiar. is it the only one of that model? i can only recognise it wiv that big, squarish thingy on the front.
i was in P1 in 1994. the scania NACs are still plying as cameos on 291 today.
The Volvo B57s were indeed used on Tampines feeder services. However, by 1995, they have been replaced by Scania N113s.Originally posted by sinicker:that volvo B57 seems familiar. is it the only one of that model? i can only recognise it wiv that big, squarish thingy on the front.

okay, i think the bus was the B57. i said "still plying" because the bus guide on sbst.com said 291 and 293 are fully-airconditioned feeders. so, it's a rarity 291/293 has Scania CRBN113 NAC.Originally posted by sBs_boy:Dont get what you mean.. What happens is that there is limited number of aircon buses in each depot. Sometimes, there may not be sufficient aircon buses for all the services and as such, the depot has to push for NAC buses to be on certain services even though it is stated that the service is FAC.Originally posted by sinicker:okay, i think the bus was the B57. i said "still plying" because the bus guide on sbst.com said 291 and 293 are fully-airconditioned feeders. so, it's a rarity 291/293 has Scania CRBN113 NAC.

Service 354 did use Merc O405 NAC a few years back. I noticed this because it was the only Pasir Ris feeder during that time to use Merc O405 buses while services 357, 358 and 359 used majority Scania N113CRB buses.Originally posted by delonchew:I don't think 354 ever used O.405s.

svc. 15 was when they had this rationalisation exercise in '96 or '97, buses plying in the CBD and those into changi airport were all made FAC. buses that were FAC plying the towns that does not serve the CBD and changi airport were made PAC.Originally posted by alex_cai92:like wad they did to Svc15 some time ago
