Hmmm,Will see more MANs again,BTW the procedure at Second Link the same as at Woodlands(You alight to for passport stamp and then hold the tix to board the bus again)?

will the CW3 stop and wait for each and every passenger at Tuas / TG Kupang for reboardingor just like the old system at WDL? cos i guess its freq may be horrible.. -

I hope not more MAN's again, although the newer 18.250 & 18.280 used by HI in CW1 & CW2 are overall much better than those old MAN's used by SJE !!
I'll prefer HI use instead the new generation M-B like they now use for the kampong tram bus & like those on route 22 between Permas Jaya & JB Bandar.

To me, as long as route 160 still uses those comparatively lousy Volvo B10M Mk3's only, then i'll gladly pay almost any premium to take HI's newer & better MAN's or more preferably, their new generation air-suspended charged-cooled M-B's, which no operator it seems in Singapore has yet upgraded to in volume !
It's not head-on competition this time (unlike CW2 & SJE) but definitely still very close competition i'll say. HI's advantage over 160 is the more door-step like connection between Jurong East & highly populated areas in Skudai.
Of course those in greater hurry to reach Kota Raya from Jurong East & don't mind putting up with a lousier class of ride would stick to 160, so therefore the competition is not fully head-on this time. It's stupid practice (by those who disallow it) if it's not allowed !!
There's really no practical sense to disallow, as the tickets are purchased on board & no ticketing booth needs to be setup on the checkpoint premises !
Also it's helps to speed up the flow of human traffic thru the checkpoints !
SJE i find is @ great disadvantage compared to SBST & HI since they don't have onboard ticketing. High time they sell tickets onboard as well !!
They need to innovate instead of blindly sticking to age old practices of selling tickets before boarding ! Not much point delegating ticket sales to some travel agents in Merlin Tower & JB City Square only as they not that convinent to reach by every commutor & they close quite early.Originally posted by sbst275:By right it is not allowed
