3777Z demonstrated to me its powerful engine, drove so fast, brake so hard, rear door opened twice while moving at 60km/h! Surprised pax standing nearby inched away.
Let me guess sv 119 & 88 respectively right?

Nothing special, the mkIIIs are the fastest buses on the expressway, with the mkII though I feel the mkIII is more mild.Originally posted by gorby107:Wow!!! The bus is so super lagi fast take so fast to travel from Pasir Ris to Senkang on TPE. I am amazed on it![]()
i tot DM 3500 got speed limiters?Originally posted by Airbus330Captain:Took 2729U on svc 518 yesterday. The bus sped very fast along the ECP , it was quite obvious that the driver was late , I suspected the bus went around 70-80 km even through the bus was almost full . The power of the Mark IV DM3500.The best single deck bus in Singapore .
That is what I thought too .Originally posted by 105090:i tot DM 3500 got speed limiters?
I wonder, but it seems some buses speed-limitors disabled. Voith buses tend to be faster.Originally posted by Airbus330Captain:That is what I thought too .
Some BCs with experience and basic knowledge of Technical should be able to drive it "Fast"Originally posted by Airbus330Captain:That is what I thought too .
I had memory of a Volvo DM3500 race with a Dennis Lance & Merc Volgren on expressway and believe me that the speed was incredible!I almost can't believe my eyes when those SMRT Buses can't catch up until he slowed downOriginally posted by carbikebus:Some BCs with experience and basic knowledge of Technical should be able to drive it "Fast"![]()
That's one reasons why i dislikes to drive SBST buses,Frankly buses deserve to speed at least about 70km/h at expressways.60km/h will cause more hogging!!Only a handful can exceeds that.120?I even once board a Malaysian MAN City bus speeds at about 130km/h on highways!Originally posted by ceecookie:i wonder if anyone seen a bus going at 120km/h?
Is there any buses that can go at 120km/h?
and i wonder why Bus 14 engine no good...i saw speedo redline at 60km/h..so lousy ar?
Go malaysia NS highway and u will c plenty...Originally posted by ceecookie:i wonder if anyone seen a bus going at 120km/h?

haha..there was once i was on SV15..didnt note down rego or model..the bus was already packed after the Pasir Ris Dr 1 stop..then the BC..i duno wat he was thinking..he just sped off without closing the exit door..then along the whole stretch of Pasir Ris Dr 8 the wind was just blowing in like no one's business and everyone just looked tio stun..i cldnt tell the BC either as i was at the back and it was too noisy..he only realised teh mistake at the Tampines library stop..HAHA..Originally posted by SBS1908B:3777Z demonstrated to me its powerful engine, drove so fast, brake so hard, rear door opened twice while moving at 60km/h! That is wrong of you and other watching passengers, one of the passengers including yourself should have told the driver about the door. What if one of the passengers 'fly' out of the bus ? Remember, safety comes first.Originally posted by sErviCe17rOx:haha..there was once i was on SV15..didnt note down rego or model..the bus was already packed after the Pasir Ris Dr 1 stop..then the BC..i duno wat he was thinking..he just sped off without closing the exit door..then along the whole stretch of Pasir Ris Dr 8 the wind was just blowing in like no one's business and everyone just looked tio stun..i cldnt tell the BC either as i was at the back and it was too noisy..he only realised teh mistake at the Tampines library stop..HAHA..
