Which is your favourite Superbus excluding the special ones? The Superbuses that are currently on the roads. Poll will end on 310805 2000 hrs.

Well , it's a tough choice really between VSO , Trident and VO 3 axles. I have to vote for VO 3 axles 9401 and above because I ride on them very often and enjoy every ride I had so far . My favourite VO 3 axles is 9485B which is plying on svc 12. This bus brings me back memories of my secondary school days I took almost everyday.

- Dennis trident
- Volvo Super Olympian
- Volvo Olympian 2x
- Leyland Olympian 3x
- Volvo Olympian 3x -
For me
1) Volvo Olympian 3 axles- like to hear the full sound and also can speed
2) Dennis Trident- air-con very nice and strong and also can speed
3) Volvo Super Olympian- air-con very nice and strong but sometimes got the gas smell or what which is unbearable
4) Volvo Olympian 2 axles- no reasons
5) Leyland olympian 3 axles- air-con got gas smell or what, the worst of all. When stop it is so loud. When reversing or stopping, the floor will rumble and have vibration. -
1st: Dennis Trident (becos mi hardly rode on them)
2nd: VSO
3rd: VO3x (92xx/93xx series esp.)
4th: LO3x : AC not cold -
Strictly speaking, the VO2X is not Superbus since it is NAC. The term "Superbus" was coined by SBS iin December 1993 to refer to the new-to-Singapore ADDs.

VO3X Batch II, III, comfy and speedy. All of those batches excluding mutated ones such as 9423E, cannot speed, lousy pick-up, draggy gears, no sign of lock-up clutch.

My fav superbus is Volvo Super Olympian and Dennis Trident.

I like:
--> Volvo Olympian 3 axles Batch 3, 4 and 5
--> Volvo Olympian 2 axles
--> Dennis Trident
--> Volvo Super Olympian -
1st = VSO (like the seats, very comfy, sure sleep)
2nd = Dennis Tridents (same as above)
3rd = VO3x (my fav sv 65 majority fleet)
4th = LO3x (sv 65 was initially this fleet of ADDs) -

2. VO3x (newest generation)
3.VO2x no aircon sometimes v song
4. Dennis trident.. hate that engine sound but comfy seats
5.LO3x super loud brakes, vibration. EEEEE -

I am really glad that the VO3X are dominant in my district. I like all of them, especially those with rear windscreen. One of the more decent buses around.
Trident: Only taken once (9675 on Svc 147). Don't really know much about this bus.
VSO: I have not boarded one, so I can't be the judge.
LO3X: never quite liked Leyland buses, from LA era until now. The lower saloon of the LO3X usually has some diesel smell. Can't figure out why.

You havent board a VSO ? I feel very lucky . I took all the 50 VSOs including the special ones. When the VSO were new, I went around Singapore just to ride on every single VSO , 9800 to 9849 and the specials too. The hardest for me was SBS9837U which at time was perm on svc 70. -

Dennis Trident,Particularly those deployed on S89 & S51 if you know what i mean 
2 Volvo Olympian 3x Batch 1,I got a feeling that batch 1 can speed more than Batch 2/3.
3 Leyland Olympian 3x,Powerful acceleration for a DD,The only weakness is the bolt-on bodyworks
4 Volvo Olympian 3x Batch 2/3,Nice interior for an old buses,For batch 3 prefer those with dress rims.
