Poll : Should AMK/Braddel depot spread their volvo buses ?

To services like 135,155, 53, 54,136,24,90,139,145,22,138,130,410,73 ...etc AMK , Bishan and Toa Payoh feeder services . At least cameo bus services on them if not perm. I find that AMK is the only depot that doesn't spread their volvo buses around, I really cannot understand them.
What do you think ? Which non-volvo services do you wish to see volvo buses being deployed on?
I say yes , svc 24 and 53 should get a few perm Mark IV DM3500 from svc 162 and svc 21.

first things first given the limited number of vehicles of this make in the depot... what is the basis of redeploying the vehicles. yes we definitely would like a variety of bus types on our bus services but there are certainly more implications to just simply deploy any bus on the service?? do we have to just make only ONE rectangular side desto for sv135 just so that 2801T from 162 can cameo?
end of the day... does a volvo Mk4 bring you to your destination any faster than a MB O405?? -
will u dare to think of AMK swapping the MB O405s with Bedok's Scanias?

I want Sv 136, 72, 88, 25, 55, 53 and 159 all those plying in the Hougang area to have Volvo buses(any model) So Hougang would mostly have Volvo buses all around the road

Actually, the MB0405 is likely to bring you faster, but that's beside the point. I was yakking with sbst275 and I wondered if mkII NACs could go to AMDEP? I wonder why 082, such a popular svc become NAC, and a feeder like 265 become FAC. how many Volvos does AMDEP and BRAM has?? even if the despatcher were to allocate 1 per service, do you have enough to go around??
i can't help but laugh at some of your posts... posting such comments on a public website like this really lowers the image of us bus fans in Singapore. -

Now 82 have some NAC bus on the fleet but this week saw two of it almost everyday. One of it was a perm bus from 82 while the other comes from other service. I also wonder why they must do thisOriginally posted by SBST390:i guess the factor here is loading... btw... the current 82 is NAC?

At least it is possible for them to go cameo on other services. But to transfer these buses to be perm on these other services looks very unlikely.

And btw, NAC scania cameoed on 268 late last year though. And if you are talking about NACs on 82, they are regular cameos when HGDEP has no other FAC to replace. -

Haven't heard of any B10M or other Volvo buses cameoing on 135, but those other service you mentioned have B10Ms and VO3X as cameos before. Well, there's a possibility that the Volvo Mk4 will cameo on services like 22, 25, 55, 56, 70, 76, 133, 136...these buses currently operate DDs...hence they probably have the destos to use on the Volvo MK4 SDs...as for other svcs like 24, 53, 54, 57, 73, 130, 135, 138, 139, 145, 159 etc i dun tink they have the rectangular destos. It would not be cost effective to make one rectulagar desto so that Volvo buses could cameo on the above mentioned services. But I won't discount the idea totally that Volvo SDs cameos may appear on those svc w/o DD...can use the normal square one...but it would look weird of course. I think the total no of Volvo SDs in AMDEP should be around 30 to 40. And the MK4 DM3500 are fine on 162. I don't see a need for them to leave unless some DDs can go onto 162.
I think HGDEP has rectangular destos for all its services..including 315 even though it has no perm MK4. -
Hougang Depot use to have a lot of FAC SP buses before 31 July 2005 But after that it left a few only as there is 34 who take some buses from there and some transfer to other depots. But there is still a lot of NAC buses in Hougang Depot so maybe they have shortage of FAC to deploy so they use the NAC to replace it??? 82 actually can stop at Kovan Hub as not a lot of people go to Serangoon Int and most of the time empty. talking bout sv82, and eventually 103, these 2 services has low ridership, and are victims of NEL rationalisation.
maybe you all may think why sengkang services, or sv158/ 100 dont get NAc.. becos.. well.. they may be "more respected". why else will 82 n 103 gets crappy mk2s while other HG depot services gets mk3 and above? (such as 371, 372, 317,315). -

1) There are far too many polls going around this forums now. There are 2 to 4 polls going on right now.
2) Polls don't serve the purpose of constructive discussion.
3) What kind of purpose do such polls have? There's absolutely no purpose in them.
4) Such polls would make this place a laughing stock of sorts (especially with some of the content written)...and it would cast bad light on the truly decent and sensible bus fans out there.
5) I replied in this particular poll because I think certain polls are getting ridiculous. This poll is totally childish. You are using this poll to express your opinion, wish and fantasy that the Volvo buses in AMK/BRAM be spread out or the unhappiness of seeing Mercedes buses on these services. In other words, this poll is to pursue your own personal agenda nothing more.
