If it is meant to serve working class people, they should lower their fares.Originally posted by 105090:yeah. a bold and rare move to bypass a town altogether.. can see this bus sure have a lot of potential to do well. still, Fast Forward services are dedicated to the working class of ppl and not for social purposes..
They should charge them with normal adult fare. Those people working and taking bus to work, the salary will not be enough for them to buy a car???? Correct me if I am wrong. Working adults should be given privilages for their hard work to SingaporeOriginally posted by iveco:If it is meant to serve working class people, they should lower their fares.![]()
but there are still slackers around....well, if charge adult fare rite, den not basic plus service liao...den SBST will lose $$$ bcoz they run express, skipping sum area...so muz charge u more to recover the loss... its like to get to destination faster, you muz pay more....sumthing like tat....Originally posted by gorby107:They should charge them with normal adult fare. I would beg to differ. If you are saying that there are slackers around, they would be taking cabs, NOT buses. Also, not all slackers are willing to pay so much for travelling between Destination A to B. Hmm say, if such service could bring you to school faster, and you don't mind paying so much, do you call yourself a slacker? The answer is YES.Originally posted by alex_cai92:but there are still slackers around....well, if charge adult fare rite, den not basic plus service liao...den SBST will lose $$$ bcoz they run express, skipping sum area...so muz charge u more to recover the loss... its like to get to destination faster, you muz pay more....sumthing like tat....
those not willing to pay can take normal service wad, jus set off earlier...slacker taking bus are oso stingy lah...they wan the cheaper 1 and a faster 1...and slacker is not the main point!Originally posted by SBS9816E:I would beg to differ. i tink u misunderstood mi....im toking abt ppl like my sis, go to work @ 9...wake up @ 8.30....and still wanna take bus....so late lor....im not toking unemployed ppl, how do u think until here???Originally posted by Zilchster:Hello! The most expensive fare on Fast Forward services by cash is still cheaper than taking bus 240.
Honestly, the opinions are getting absurd!
1) How do you know that all the people working and taking bus to work has not enough salary to buy a car?
2) Privileges? Why don't you say provide free transportation? Blah blah blah...
3) And the part on slackers...hello! This comment is getting ridiculous. It's not everyone's choice to be a slacker. And it's not right to call them a slacker! Some of them are unemployed because due to unfortunate circumstances and not out of their choice. How can you call them slackers? That's so not very compassionate of you Alex.
Well, to each of his own.Originally posted by alex_cai92:those not willing to pay can take normal service wad, jus set off earlier...slacker taking bus are oso stingy lah...they wan the cheaper 1 and a faster 1...
okay, i think there's too many different definitions of "slacker" here.Originally posted by sinicker:i see two different types of slackers u all are talking about.
slacker - an unemployed person who has not enough $$ to take an FFw service
slacker - an employed person who is lazy to take a bus coz' it's packed![]()

maybe u wan a 53e ???Originally posted by 105090:the 89e can be seen as a proper Express service, similar to its 5xx counterparts as seen from running long express sectors, unlike some, such as 97e, or 502 which express for only along certain sectors along its route.
and yes, pasir ris is a high population area, it sure take very long if 89e goes there, so yeah.. a good move.
(take 53 from HG to CGA bia PSR can make u cry)
This is the most possible express sector.Originally posted by bendy2003:wow, bypassing pasir ris town...so does this mean that 89e will exit into Loyang Ave straight from TPE? wow, then this will be super fast siah!!! pity i dun work in changi area
didn't i post this @ the service guide section...Originally posted by gorby107:The guides for 89e are now out at Hougang Int. There are many of it when I saw it so can faster go and take it or else it will be finished???

sometimes loyang ave can have massive jams in the morning. some BCs may actually use dr 12 & dr 3 express all the way down to loyang ave.Originally posted by bendy2003:wow, bypassing pasir ris town...so does this mean that 89e will exit into Loyang Ave straight from TPE? wow, then this will be super fast siah!!! pity i dun work in changi area
