  i would like to know which way the buses go in/around pasir ris. i would like to analyse how much earlier it would be than the normal 89.

  I've ascertained that 89e goes by TPE then exits by Pasir Ris Drive 12 and goes straight along Pasir Ris Drive 3 before entering Loyang Avenue. IMO, this route is faster than if 89e goes by TPE > Loyang Avenue, albeit the fact that there are plenty of traffic lights along the way.

  VOLVO MK3 - i noticed a couple of 89e buses returned to svc 89 after the morning peak....

  89e became sv89. i saw a BC changed it to 89 when re-entering Pasir ris. not sure if it is on revenue to HG.
  
  theres 5 trips for sv89E.
  
  0651 - 0739 from HG.
  from CACC Police Pass Office, is from 1747 to 1845.
  
  last bus is earlier than stated.
  
  Journey time for 89 AM peak from HG to Changi Village took about 60 minutes. 89e took 46minutes. thats a saving of 14minutes, after all, 89e skipped entire pasir ris. the other FFW does not skip any major sections of route except 174e.
