Starting from Hougang Central to Shenton Way in the morning and vice versa in the evening.
Here as my following suggested route: Hougang Central Int , Hougang Ave 10 and 2, Upper Serangoon Rd(up to Kovan MRT) then express using the UPS highway until to Potong Pasir opp Blk 101, Potong Pasir MRT, Bendemmer Rd. Geylang Bahru, Lavender St , Lavender MRT station, Jln Sultan, Beach Rd, Connaught Drive, Collyer/Raffles Quay, Shenton Way (morning route)
Operating hours: 0715-0830 Frequency: 15 mins
Evening route: Anson Rd, Robinson Rd, Fullerton Square, Beach Rd, Jln Sultan, Lavender MRT, Lavender Rd, Geylang Bahru, Bendemmer Rd, Serangoon Rd, Potong Pasir MRT, Blk 101, then express using the UPS highway until Kovan MRT, Upper Serangoon Rd, Hougang Ave 2/10, Hougang Central Int

Whats the use of using FFw on Kallang Bahru, The Area hasnt got Much Jamz and the demand is not really that much at every stop. From what i see, the main demand which is going towards Shenton Way, ppl board the bus from the stop after Bendemeer Rd and the stop after that.. Sure have one. A lot of people from hougang take this bus to shenton way or to geylang bahru ind area for their work and people from geylang bahru take it to shenton way for workOriginally posted by alex_cai92:got demand?

If like that the serivice don't use the highway and stop along Serangoon MRT and those HDB flats bus stop around there??? Sv 107 demand is just average... quite a number of pax have switched to NEL as it's faster although more expensive. Many cases in the morning & evening, the ridership is not even 1/2 full. i think it is plausible. it's okay if the service skips Serangoon and stays up on the viaduct all the way. only this shows how "fast forward" the service is.
would people living at Bendemeer board this service and pay more just to go to Shenton Way?
on FFw services...
one has to realise that these FFw services are meant for the more affluent working population. that is they are willing to fork out abt $4/day on commuting to and from work each day.
that's why 97e plies shenton way, 174e ends at city hall, 10e plies shenton way(u have to see that it starts opp. man fatt lam temple, onwards on this service is where the more affluent people live), 30e(scientists take bus to work?..
) and 89e(higher post ppl working at CACC?) -
FFW svs are meant for further away areas to CBD

Do not tt the sv10e route caters to the "rich people" along East Coast. The these group of pple either drive or take cab to work. By introducing sv10e, it's to get them to switch to public transport. Well, I don't see any demands for S107 to be a Fast Forward service. But to talk about the demand sectors of S107, let me name a few:
1. Up S'goon Rd
2. Kallang Rd >> For folks working along Beach Rd, Shenton Way
3. Beach Rd
4. Shenton Way
There are some people who do take till Serangoon or Potong Pasir Station to transfer to NEL. However, they is quite a huge demand from the North East corridor to Shenton Way. -

sv30 may extend the sv30A fleet for use on 30e

can see of all the new services introduced, those in NE sector only has 115 and 34 being introduced, and these 2 doesnt goes south bound. (think of goodwill

But you see during morning and evening peak hours there are a lot of people take it and tends to be slower as there are many people boarding and alighting the bus so maybe FFw can help a little?? The average waiting time around 5 mins during the morning and evening peak hours. Sometimes Whampoa South, Serangoon Rd, some stretch of Upper Serangoon Rd, Beach Rd and Kallang Ave tend to have jams during the peak hours when going to Hougang Central Int. While going to shenton way, the jam part is at some strectch of Upper Serangoon Rd, Lavender St, Beach Rd. This could waste a lot of time. If a ffw is introduced, it could save time but the prices can be set lower as those working adults taking it are not so rich, one point to let them consider about. Hello! You don't need to be poor in order to use the bus. There are rich people who use the buses too. It's just a matter of preference and convenience. And do you know what are buses? Buses are public transportation. Which means, rich or poor, fat or thin, black or white, immature or mature, silly or clever all can use the public transport. 30e can possibly also start from Boon Lay Int too. I belief it will have quite good pax as Express 507 was already withdrawn.
For 10e, maybe can extend to Kent Ridge for NUS students. -

I suggestion Sv 10e will be Tampines to Kent Ridger Term
10e is linking Tampines Int and Ave 5, Upper East Coast Rd, East Coast Rd, Old Airport Rd, Collyer Quay, Paffles Quay, Shenton Way, Harbour NEL stn, PSA Bld, Haw Par Villa, S'pore Science Park and Kent Ridger Ter.. It is a short journey and more than 20 bus-stop very faster...

However, since you've mentioned, those workers in Kallang Bahru/Geylang Bahru are not that wealthy, how many of them would be willing to take "ffw107" since it only helps a little? I had difficulty comprehending the last part of your statement (perhaps due to your english), whereby you stated "could save time but the prices can be set lower". What do you mean by this? You meant ffw107 fares should be set cheaper than the rest of fast forward services? Doesn't sound very practical & realistic to me.
Furthermore, I feel that there is a better way of utilising the buses instead of putting potential buses on "ffw107" as personally, I dont feel that the demand is so solid. Hence, I am not very supportive of the introduction of ffw107.
I think most of us here know what is your actual motive of suggesting ffw107:- Due to your overwhelming passion for service 107. However, please consider other factors and be more meticulous when you make a statement.
