hi. the main purpose of Citybuzz is to give advertisers more exposure in the city, which is considered a niche in the area of on-road advertising. thus, u'll see that top-notch advertisements from cash-richer corporations and big companies (read: not SMEs) advertise on Citybuzz and most of their buses always carry some ad.Originally posted by sinicker:hey guys. everytime i go to orchard or sim lim sq, i always see these buses virtually empty. it's either the BC alone or the BC and... his friend whom he gives a free ride to? lol.
has anyone ever seen it at least half full on the upper deck?
should sbstransit dissolve it and let the VSOs ply on normal trunk services or should we give the services more time?
your constructive views please.![]()
hi. just a query. are the ads on Citybuzz buses specially dedicated for tourists only? are they different? if yes, what ads are they?Originally posted by ^tamago^:hi. the main purpose of Citybuzz is to give advertisers more exposure in the city, which is considered a niche in the area of on-road advertising. thus, u'll see that top-notch advertisements from cash-richer corporations and big companies (read: not SMEs) advertise on Citybuzz and most of their buses always carry some ad.
so they may be running around empty in the city, they are there for a good reason.
they are not necessarily dedicated for tourists. some ads are 3-axle medicated oil, starhub cable tv etc. and exterior ad is the exposure.Originally posted by sinicker:hi. just a query. are the ads on Citybuzz buses specially dedicated for tourists only? are they different? if yes, what ads are they?
there is no "more" exposure in the city if very few ppl board it.
yeah. and a wonderful frequency of 5-10 minutes, and spanking new busesOriginally posted by iveco:Even Perth CAT buses are FOC.
Well, if that the case, I would disagree. No one would use a revenue bus for ONLY advertising purposes.Originally posted by ^tamago^:hi. the main purpose of Citybuzz is to give advertisers more exposure in the city, which is considered a niche in the area of on-road advertising. thus, u'll see that top-notch advertisements from cash-richer corporations and big companies (read: not SMEs) advertise on Citybuzz and most of their buses always carry some ad.

I can't agree more with you . The VSOs on those services are so wasted if you ask me.Originally posted by carbikebus:Unless they deploy buses like the open top EPSON DD then maube the table will turn don't you think so?
i cant agree more with you too.Originally posted by Airbus330Captain:I can't agree more with you . The VSOs on those services are so wasted if you ask me.

VO2x are still maintained quite well, can...Originally posted by Donavan:I totally agree. Why not take VO2x, chop off its upper deck roof, and let it do Citybuzz while send the VSOs down to do other svcs that need DDs.
YupOriginally posted by sbst275:Huh?

actually once B9TL comes in, the 'pressure' on VSO's won't be as strong.Originally posted by Airbus330Captain:I can't agree more with you . The VSOs on those services are so wasted if you ask me.
