common...its been 9 mths since the start of the yr...My sch had change the name by the bus stop plate and guide is not updated....in fact i haven seen a map or guide updated...even the the electronic map the taxi drivers use in some of the cab...Originally posted by 28_29_293:Any comments abt this topic? -

It's been a year since the National Library has been demolished, but our dear SMRT still prints Service 190's guide with Nat'l Library along Stamford Road

I think one stop along Depot Rd is still listed as "Hwa Yi Sec Sch" even though the school has shifted to Jurong.
What about the stop after CLE MRT? Last I checked it said "Blk 440". But the block of flats has since gone. -
toa payoh lor 4 (S11 food alley) should now read 600 @ toa payoh or opp Blk 73 instead. S11 food alley in toa payoh has closed several years ago to make way for this current 600 @ TAP building.

For the bus stop (blk 5) along punggol rd, that blk has already been torn down about half a year ago.

simei ave aft upp changi rd should rename as ITE College East.

a famous one is the TCS alongupp thomson rd.. it wasnt change for a few years after its renamed Mediacorp.
and for no reason, 3rd bus stop along 158 rt (now 4th) is renamed Blk 426 when it was St Gab's Sec School all laong -
Woodsvile Secondary School has been demolished years ago and Bendemeer Secondary Schol now sets on the site. But the name did not change.

i've read the 2005 SBS bus guide.... when i see the chinese garden MRT station map.... my blk has change frm 225A to 224A.... wth.

Why ASTAR? More appropriate should be MOE, Biopolis or Buona Vista Technopark. I will definitely miss my stop if I am looking for ASTAR, there is no such building. -
MOUNTBATTEN RD - 'GAY WORLD PK' (from TL Guide 2004)
Gay World Park has been sold in 2000 and demolished. It was an amusement park in the 1950s till the 1970s. When Gay World Pk closed as an amusement park, the place was operated as a car repair and motor workshops in the 1980s till the 1990s.
MARGARET DR - 'GOLDEN CITY THEATRE' (from TL Guide 1995)
Golden City Theatre was since converted to a church after it closed somewhere in the 1980s.
OLD AIRPORT RD - 'BLK 29'
Blk 29 has been demolished in 2000 for future developments from HDB. (Blk 29 is Kallang Airport Est - 2nd Blk.)
BENDEMEER RD - 'BLK 10'
Blk 10 Kempas Rd has also been demolished. Commentary as above. No longer mentioned in TL guide 2004.
