can u guys think of any two services which can be merged together to form a pretty long service that would provide important links among these two services? for example, take the merger of 226 and 385 or 28 and 152 as a reference.

yea 274 and 275 should be withdrawn and according to some realiable source, which i 4got, the enhancement of 131 and introduction of 57 is to cover the sector of 274 and 275 and they will be withdrawn soon. SBST had plans to do tat. -
Slightly off topic a bit but i feel that not svc but the bus model is to be scrapped or sold to 3rd world countries are the B10Ms of SBST.What the Heck is world-class transport when you're using high floor coach chassis as a citybuses
If they think that either Merc or Scania parts are expensive nor they don't have any relationship with its parent company they should consider the B7Ls/B12BLEs or even the "Poor man Mercedes buses" MAN!!Sometimes i do feel inferior and ashamed if an SMRT buses are beside me especially in town areas or i'm driving a MKIIIs

What does the letter "L" in B7L stand for? I know "M" means mid-mounted engine, "B" means rear mounted boxer-stlye (like the Merc O405) engine and "R" means vertically-mounted engine.

L denotes a vertically-mounted engine on the LEFT side of the chassis. AFAIK, the B7L is no longer in production as UK bus companies do not really like the bus.

kay so after reading the whole thread, this is the finalised changes we hope would be made.. HOPE.
- Express 502 to be a normal trunk service (which i dont think will happen coz' it doesnt stop at the bus stops along Holland Road. this is the sector that makes it express) -shrugs-
- 274 and 275 to be withdrawn
- merge 83 with another service starting frm Sengkang Int, either 119 or 159. so that punggol residents/students can have more places to go. -
If 502 is a trunk service, there will surely be VO3, VSOs and so on deploying on it as it will be very popular and maybe it could fight with 190.

Personally, i do not feel that By merging both services is a very good idea.. take 83's case for example.. if you merge 83 and 159/119 together, you are only trying to mess things up.. Different Services have Different travel patterns / Demand at different times of the day.. currently, the route of 83 is JUst Nice...
