How will drivers know if ur using Student Ez-Link card?

yea...i like this...my BP always rise when i see ppl tapping card when the exit doors are open and they are not alighting....except for students and feeder svc...but i always thought this kind of ppl is stupid as they had less time to complete transfer rebate...they say rise 3cent is alot...a rebate of 25cent is oso alot....cant they think?Originally posted by sinicker:the law that is coming into place will only catch the adults who tap right after they board.. board bus, walk to exit, tap, sit down at the back.

but there was once my EZ-Link card loses its magnetism....den i took 12 to get to PAR INT to replace the card...den a stupid TI check my tix(i pay cash) liao den demand for the card....see liao nvm...tap my card against his machine .... den ask ask ask so many qns.....as i onli haf time after 1 wk my card spoilt, so i had to pay cash for 1 wk, den i encounter alot of TI....(ESP on 67 every morning)...none of them demand for EZ-link card when they check my tix... -

my friend got caught before...she used her sis card...
after we boarded, the driver stop at the next stop, went up 2nd deck n demand 2 check her card...
wah...wait so long, ppl fed up...den she fill up form using his pen and she broke it...next 2 stop, he went back up again...check n check again....den he realised the pen broke...haha....den the card retained and she was given a bus tix...but its actually the wrong tix i guess....she got the bus inspector ticket....
that time i also got caught...horrible....but da tix is a rarity to my bus tix collection coz da tix does not state the normal stuff....anyway, why poly students have to pay more....the reason is still not clear and sound to me...
no wonder many poly students love to cheat their fares....i noe lots of my frenz do....even me wat....but not anymore lah
are poly students supposed to be richer and more well off?

hey hi i jc student. i too do not know why. but i think a pretty significant proportion of poly students hold part-time jobs and are often assigned attachments to companies for eg. home econs teachers-to-be get $800/month as a bursary, NYP nurses get a pre-determined amount of $ frm the polyclinics. a friend of mine in this home econs-teachers' training gets $800/month and around $700/month working at coffee bean.Originally posted by muziq bus:are poly students supposed to be richer and more well off?

ohh.. pls.. dont cook up the matter of polytechnic students cannot pay 45c fares.. theres too many stories given by LTA PTC etc.. and also the expected failure of the online petition for 45c bus fares
still, if every1 so unhappy, how about all students, primary leel up to university (Private/Public) pay flat fare 64c??
then is like 64c fares will offset 45c fares..
talknig bout the ez-link, i once used my sec school ez link card. its concession powers had expired. i throw 55c into the coin box.. BC asked me to tap my card!! then got the single pee sound expected.. he said my card expired etc etc.. lucky nev confiscate my card..
i still yearn for the farecard days.. can buy unlimited farecards.. -

please once again, do NOT incur the wrath of the many polytechnic students here. we are sick of the unfair treatment (for years) and the fact that polytechnic is seen as a lower status than junior colleges (as JC is L1R5) but we are paying full fares. and oh yes, JC is heavily subsidised by governemnt for everything.. textbooks, bus fares, facilities. we poly ppl have to settle everything ourselves.. how many JC students has part time jobs?Originally posted by SBS9889U:Is there BCP for Poly students?

my friend works part-time and he had to repeat his year 1. jc is all abt consistent studying. no time to work one. i believe i'll make myself scarce tmr to prepare for my As this year. as for why poly students pay adult fares, i honestly do not know. you have to seek an explanation frm the relevant authorities since they set it a long, long time ago.

yes.. we pay $1000 in fees compared to less than $100 for Jcs. we spent one year more than our Jc counterparts, but we ghet a diploma which is good to to join the working world unlike the A level cert which is technically worthless, no better than an o level cert.
