Bus Seats

Which type of bus seats do you all prefer??? Is it the SMRT or SBST one??? The Mk3 seat? Merz Volgren seat??? and so on......... Tell us now
I prefer SBST seats as a whole as it is more comfortable and not so itchy and dusty like the SMRT one which is made of fur. I prefer the seat of SMRT Merz Volgren and the Mk3 seat as they are comfortable to me -

for SDs and Bendies, i prefer seat configurations where the front is lower and the height of the seats increases to the back such as the SMRT Bendies, SBST Merc/Scania buses. this type of seat configurations makes the bus look spacious and "clean". the MK3s can make it to this list lah. alright lah.
seat configurations that i dislike are like those where the seats are all on the same level. such would be the MK4 DMs, Striders and DM3500s.
the DDs' seat configuration quite okay lah. except that for the lower deck, on the seats running along the window, people just tend to take 2 seats for their own self. -
SBST's bus seats are much better especially for those with back problems.
My favourite seat has to be the VSO's seat, I can sleep within 5 minutes. -
My preference lies with the SMRT Volgren O.405 / DM Lance seats.
I don't really like the VSO seats in contrary to AirBus330Captain's view as I personally feel that the backrest of the seats inclined too much. I much prefer the seats of a VO3X.

I definitely like the seats of O405s (All kinds), MK IV DM3500, and for the B10M MK IVs (All), the seat just behind the exit door. (darn a lot of legroom) I don't quite like MK II seats. VO3x and LO3x seats are more or less alright, but VO3x pink seats are better to me.

I like the seats on the SBST Mk IVs, refurbished Mercs and DDs. However, I favour the configuration used on SMRT buses. Some people tend to take up an entire garden seat (2-seater) on SBST buses. At least, with SMRT buses type of configuration, nobody can straddle the middle of both seats (unless he is of the size of Moses Lim).

Those seat commonly found on O405 above the front axle where a seat face the other seat and u cannot stretch ur leg when sum1 is seating in front of u... -

I like any seat on the bus that does NOT have a window pillar obstructing the sill.

talking abt legroom, i CANNOT sit on the 2-seaters(not the one that is along the window) on the Scania CRBs!!!! -
i like the seats on VSOs and Tridents. Sit down for awhile can sleep.

ALL SMRT/TIBS seats... reason: seats are very hard and isnt good for long journeys.
to say, SBS seats are actually made of sponges, while SMRT opnes are -
I like all the bus seats of SBST and SMRTbuses.

I think that Dennis Lance 211 and 245 has the most legroom at the lower level as the gap in between seats are wider but not for the the upper level which is quite squeezy. Merz 0405 OAC and CAC the emergency exit that area the legspace is quite spacious even can put your barang barang like the lower level of the Dennis Lance one. But for the standing space, Nissian Diesel has the widest to me. The seats is too squeezy to sit for two person but one person is shiok man quite spacious

talking about legroom, the biggest in an SBSTransit bus to me is on the MK4 DM3500, last row seats. for SMRT, it is the Merc 0405/Hispano by the emergency exit door.

I like to like at the back wheel if on board SD or bendy, but my fav would be LOX3 seats, a more pleasant colour than VOX3

Mk2s are levelled btw except above the rear axle (this implies to all Mid-engine bus) -
N113s and CAC MKIIs have the least legroom AFAIK..from sec 1 till now i have gradually grown out of the legroom of 17s N113s..grrr..
i feel that SMRTB have made the wrong choice in choosing Vogelsitze..they might as well buy plastic chairs to fix on to their buses..its so hard that when u sit on them for long ur blood circulation may get cut off.. -

For me
Articulate buses:Just behind the front Trailer exit door/Just behind the centre axles for a bumpy rides,LOL
Double Deck buses:Last row of the lower saloon/Extreme first row/Centre at the upper saloon
Single deck buses:After the exit doors/Last rows
Midi buses(Dart):Behind the driver cab/2nd Last row -
I've only taken DAFs twice when they cameoed on 911 in 1996 or 97, and I must say the leg-room is small at the back.

da legroom is almost da same as o4o5
Striders worst...especially when crowded, no space to get out from the seat
love the Habit seats...though its considered hard to those frequent SBST riders....the suspension make it up to the passengers....
ever rode on a DM35oo with a sore bum?

The seats on the current SMRT buses are fine wuith me. However, for some reason, those on the CSS DAFs are extremely hard.
