Extension of Service 183 to Science Park II

Service 183 will be extended from Kent Ridge Terminal to Science Park from Monday, 3rd October 2005.

Where is it located? I know there is a Science Park near NUH.

outside pasir panjang rd, between clementi rd and south buona vista rd. basicallly the foot of kent ridge, adjacent to NUS' PGP.

The extended service will serves both Science Park 2 and Science Park 3.

peak hour load for this service is not that bad currently
i am more concerned about the non-peak...but it can't be helped
Svc 105 is indirectly the rival for Svc 183 from C'wealth Ave West to Jurong East via Toh Guan... -

From what I remember, the poster states that peak periods frequency is 12 to 15 minutes and off-peak periods is 15 to 18 minutes. Pardon me if I remember wrongly.Originally posted by muziq bus:i hope ridership will have a boost

with this extension there will be a lot of people taking sv183 from Science Park II & III out to Pasir Panjang Rd to transfer to other services.

And alternative to Science park 2/3 is SBST 200, few actually aware that Science Park 2 is just 5 bus stops away from BV MRT station. A little staircase link the bus stop (along South Buona Vista Road) to the Gemini (Science Park 2). The long waiting time for 200 and busstop isolation, may have encouraged workers/staffs to take the shuttle bus service to Clementi mrt instead.
If there is a connection between south buona vista road and science park road (via gemini), Science park 2 may not have been so isolated. -

92 & 200 only share the same stop at 1 place along south buona vista rd & that's outside NUH after which 92 turns into science park I -

It's good to have that link between science park road and south buona vista road. Not sure if it would pose any traffic hazards for buses making turns from the long-windy south buona vista road into science park road.

Well, 188 calls at the bus stop along AYE behind blk 4++, CLE Ave 3.
