Why do you want to edit your post anyway? Once you have said something to a friend verbally, it has already been said, isn't it? You can't hit an "undo" button then can you? Why should it be any different on a forum? Shame we can't do that here. Shows how advanced forums have gone, and how somewhat backward this one isOriginally posted by Apex-LW'21:You can only allowed to edit your posts within one hour. Let's just say, I disagree.Originally posted by Windy_hates_B10TLs:Why do you want to edit your post anyway?
I don't know how SINbus is being run, cause I don't go there or post there myself. But with regards to the 60 minute rule, I have also encountered forums that also put in this kinda rule. And most of the members are cool with it. So I don't see any reason for you to 'cry father, cry mother' over here.Originally posted by kc_leung:Well, that shows that there are a bunch of autocratic, insensitive mods there after all. I don't see anything wrong with that. There are other forums which I joined that have such kinda restrictions too. You just have to adjust your mindset, mentality and your habits.Originally posted by Apex-LW'21:You can only allowed to edit your posts within one hour. OK. It is not like SGForums, in SINbus you can edit your post within 1hr because in case the moderators there might delete your posts. They will put the word 'Deleted' on their posts.Originally posted by Zilchster:I don't see anything wrong with that. There are other forums which I joined that have such kinda restrictions too. Autocratic? Insensitive? Instead of appreciating their efforts to make the forum a more conducive space for discussion you diss them in this manner?Originally posted by kc_leung:Well, that shows that there are a bunch of autocratic, insensitive mods there after all. And why do you disagree? Is it because you know you'll post inflammatory posts in the future that will result in a backlash and you want to just delete that post and forget about it?Originally posted by kc_leung:Let's just say, I disagree.
Well, by dissing the mods on this post shows that you are a petty and childish person.Originally posted by kc_leung:Well, that shows that there are a bunch of autocratic, insensitive mods there after all. They really have no idea what is important to their own users.![]()
One can just quote the previous post in the thread.Originally posted by iveco:There are times when we feel that we should update our post. If we can only include fresh info on a new post, and the topic spans more than 10 pages, things could get messy and members may feel lost while reading through it.
Either the mods delete the threads or the topic is down for maintenance. The 'Fantasy Buses' thread are gone also.Originally posted by SGEMP:Well, just now, as I was on the SINbus, the functions"bus captain lounge", "feedback and suggestions", "bus discussions" all these disappeared.
What had happened? (Please explain for me what have happened thank you.)
Possible, but some people may not like it when you quote a long post.Originally posted by SBS9818A:One can just quote the previous post in the thread.
I'm sure they will get over it...Originally posted by iveco:Possible, but some people may not like it when you quote a long post.
Delete the irrelevant parts of the thread.Originally posted by iveco:Possible, but some people may not like it when you quote a long post.
i dont think the mods will replace a flammatory post with a "--deleted--" and the like. What's the post for them?Originally posted by Apex-LW'21:OK.
