31/10 Monday
SBS 9526S [BN 8] on sv2 broke down at the busstop outside New Bridge Rd Terminal. Recovery truck came at around 12midnight. -

Tuesday 01 Nov: TIB 990 A broke-down on service 302 at the junction of Choa Chu Kang Way and Choa Chu Kang Ave 4 at around 3pm. It was heading towards Choa Chu Kang int and therefore blocked the slip road into Choa Chu Kang Ave 4.

SBS9167U on Svc 76 broke down along Marine Parade Rd at bus stop opposite Blk 57 at around 11.50am. -
Thu, 3rd Nov:
I was travelling on SBS3743X of svc 52 today when the engine stalled at the junction of Jln Anak Bukit/ Bt Timah Rd, but the BC managed to re-start the engine. When it reached opposite Ngee Ann Poly bus stop, the bus failed and the BC apologised for the breakdown. He issued each of us a complimentary bus ticket but a couple of passengers demanded the fare be refunded to their EZ card instead. The BC looked a little confused and the passengers insisted he call the HQ to ask how to refund their EZ card immediately. The BC expained and ask them to take down the bus licence plate, go to the nearest Transitlink ticket office together with the EZ link card and complimentary for a refund instead. Then the passengers became unhappy and said forget it.
We waited for a while before the next svc 52 bus (SBS1717K) arrived and all transferred onto this bus. When this bus reached Clementi, the exit door could not close (probably due to lack of lubrication). The BC went to the exit door, pulled the door a couple of times before it became serviceable again. Then I overheard a couple of passengers saying,"wah, spoilt again!,,,etc.." -
Did they scan when they alight? As long as when the BC can issue the complimentary ticket the readers are in BREAKDOWN mode. They will automatically be refunded when they scan, with the reader displaying FREE RIDE.Originally posted by SBS3688Y:Thu, 3rd Nov:

breakdown this morning. Saw it turn from AMK Ave 5 to Ave 8 (towards AMDEP). Being drove by mechanic, with recovery truck right behind.. -

SBS 9249 S [HG 197] broke down along Eu Tong Sen St at the busstop outside Outram Park Station (NEL Entrance) at 09.30pm. The BC walked over to the New Bridge Rd Ter to call for recovery.
TIB 570 D [WL 187] broke down along Jurong West Central 3 at the junction of Central 2 & 3 at around 10:30pm. -

TIB 1091 M [WL 960] on sv187 broke down in Boon Lay Int at around 7:30pm. -

SBS413T on sv174/174M broke down in New Bridge Rd Ter at 12:30am. Replaced by SBS227P. -
16 Nov:
SBS9821P - svc 72 (towards Tampines) - brokedown today late morning along Hougang Ave 4 (in front of Blk 508 bus-stop).
SBS9515Z - svc 132 (towards Hougang; at night) - Malfunction (not breakdown) along Orchard Road for several times. BC engaged into Neutral gear kept depressing the accelerator, and repeated along the stretch of Orchard Rd several times.. Finally, the bus was back to serviceable condition. -
not enough air pressure due to repeated braking. SBS2647Y on sv66 broke down along Dunearn Rd at the busstop outside Turf City at around 4.30pm
2 buses without destos (SBS162S [AM 186] & an unidentified NAC Mk2 WA) with a SBST recovery truck spotted at the busstop outside Tulip Garden along Farrer Rd at around 1am. There are a lot of water under the engine compartment of the mk2 (probably used to cool down the overheated engine). -
2631S met with an accident at Lornie Road just after the bus stop at MacRitchie at 5pm. A car "kissed" its left rear. Passengers were evacuated.
