Ya.Originally posted by PhyrePhox:Cool! Did they get the bus into the convention centre itself? Did you get to see the bus with the low floor and ramp for handicap use?
Anyway, I believe this is at Suntec City.
For Your Info.. There is A BIG ramp behind the Exhibition Hall Enough for a DD Bus to use it..Originally posted by SGEMP:Ya.
When I was queueing up to get onto the displays many asked how does the bus get into the exhibition hall.
And finally you are absolutely right!
those words you put in your photo degrades the quality of the photos/ picturesOriginally posted by SGEMP:Didn't I state the dates very clearly in my signature on the photo?
I wasnt talking about that... i was asking about the fair dates....Originally posted by SGEMP:Didn't I state the dates very clearly in my signature on the photo?
for DDs,Originally posted by 105090:can someone make a quick comparison on which bus company offers the cheapest fare without compromisng quality to various popular destinations in Malaysia?
like from SG to KL, or JB to KL etc etc.
and, how can a person gets to board those double decker buses? most of those DD buses dont have any familiar names like Grassland Transnasional etc etc

PA9991K is a Scania K124IB I think.Originally posted by hseochin:Interesting to know, what's the make & model of this bus ? Any photos ?
You mean they also promoting tours for handicaped passengers ??
If you really wanna save money, do what I do.. Since I live in the west, I find it more convenient to take the train to Kranji, then take 170 or CW1 all the way to Larkin.. Tickets cost RM 25 there (it used to cost just a bit above RM 21 early this year though!!!), and you get more choices of bus companies. I usually go for Transnasional, because they are the most easily available. While waiting you can always buy papers and / or Ramly burgers. Total, this would be less than S$ 15.Originally posted by 105090:can someone make a quick comparison on which bus company offers the cheapest fare without compromisng quality to various popular destinations in Malaysia?

It's well over already (the exbitn is 28/10 to 30/10).Originally posted by hseochin:Some very interesting photos !!
Reminds me to say that high time people here organise bus & coach motorshows like that in Germany & rest of Europe etc. i.e. as part of a big automotive show where buyers & sellers of buses, coaches & bus-chassi meet !!
Is this fair over by now, if not i'll like to visit it to take some more photos of the vehicle dashboards & details ! Rare to get such convinent opportunities to go to 1 place & see the lot indoors !
If they can have aeroplane shows in Singapore then high time they also begin to have bus & coach shows here, using Singapore as administrative base to drive sales for omnibuses in South East Asia & beyond.
From the photos, 1st time i see a Transtar coach with Singapore plates. So what's the make & model of the bus-chassi used on that PA 9991 ? Also, what make & model of air-con & seats ?
I mean, on your return trip, you are not afraid of being dumped in JB by the dishonest ticket agents in KL?Originally posted by PhyrePhox:If you really wanna save money, do what I do.. On the way back though, I'm a bit more liberal with the destination. Will take a bus to JB or Singapore depending on whether I want to reach home faster or if I wanna grab some food, magazines or newspapers at Larkin.
I guess since I speak their language, it's less likely.. not that I'm immune to getting conned...Originally posted by SGEMP:I mean, on your return trip, you are not afraid of being dumped in JB by the dishonest ticket agents in KL?

To be on the safe side though, (if at the Puduraya bus terminal) buy tickets from the booth, not from some agent walking around saying that their bus is going to go off soon. To be even more sure, pick more reputable companies like Transnasional, Gunung Raya, Konsortium or Nice. Buy directly from the booths that state these company names, and not from one of their agents.
Oh yeah, and I had a bad experience once, buying from those Transnasional booths located at the LRT stations around the town. They're actually licensed agents. Once I bought from them, there was some radio miscommunication with Transnasional people, and we ended up with tickets that were meant for buses going somewhere else at another time. I'm not sure if they've computerised that system by now.. but I guess I'll avoid buying from those agents unless if I really have to... and I'll have to double check just to be sure.
yes, you're right. don't even go to the agents across the road frm pudaraya.. go to the booths IN puduraya. or just get it frm the reputable companies..Originally posted by PhyrePhox:I guess since I speak their language, it's less likely.. not that I'm immune to getting conned...

However I had countless shots of the buses' dashboards.
So which type of bus you want for its dashboard photos?
(please PM me, and I would post the photos where need be. thanks.)
Dashboard ------ yes, and would be posted at here if got time.Originally posted by hseochin:Maybe you could post the photos in the bus photos section of the forum ?
Actually i'm interested to see the dashboard photos of all the models displayed as well as the exhaust pipe outlet design.
I notice those with curved & pointed down exhaust pipes tend to be the newer higher end models of bus-chassi. Also any photos of vehicle identification plates ?
