just like the woodlands SBST Svc 161 and 168, when they were introduced in 2001, only Mk 4 were initially deployed and ridership wasn't that impressive in 2001 and 2002, slowly and gradually ridership improved and it was only until 2003 that we see DDs running these two routes on SLE, how cool...
for over a decade, only single decks were used on Sv 9, 17, 55, 76, 174, it was only recently that we begin to see DDs plying these route
hopefully, Sv 52 and 59 can take after Sv 87, 88, 89, where DDs were deployed just a few months after these 3 services were introduced in Sengkang estate
one service i can think of, which uses DDs as soon as it was introduced in 2001 is Sv 179 which goes to ntu haha -
They should deploy DDs like LAs, LO2x, VO2x, LO3x, VO3x & VSOs on Svc 43, 52 & 59.

Still to early to tell.. Should give it a month or 2 before we can even closely estimate how the ridership is like.
1. Some people don't even know these services exist even if it's in their areas.. These are usually the people who are so comfortable with routine and are skeptical with change.
2. Secondly, some people are taking trips on these buses for novelty's sake. You know.. trying out new things.. normal human curiousity...
3. People who aren't sure how to connect to these buses. What I mean is.. some people need more than 1 bus to get to their destinations.. Currently they're taking one bus, changing to another.. maybe a few transfers, before they get to their place. These people aren't sure if they can take a better route by taking some other bus and then transfering to any of these new buses (or the other way round) and make their trip shorter and / or cheaper.
4. And lastly, people who're already making use of these new routes, but might decide to revert to their old routines after they find that it's not better or even worse.
Just my 2 cents.
BTW, noticed that SBST's online transport guide only has route info for 52. 43 and 59 are not up yet. -

svc 59 no passengers board along lor 1 toa payoh & lor 6 toa payoh (towards PIE).
Those staying in toh guan got svc 52 & svc 105 to clementi mrt stn
svc 52 off peak has 10-11 buses (282-581,1696-1895,3723-3922 types buses). One of them is SBS435E
svc 59 has SBS235R as part of the fleet. -

Is the route details at the above webpages final? How come the fare stage between the last stop of buangkok green (blk 969) & first stop of yio chu kang rd (blk 953) can jump by 1.0, although a similar route service (svc 156) jumps by 0?

But those who knows and lives at Tampines Ave 2, would take it -
Board bus 43 SBS 2789 X at Upper Paya Lebar back home at 7 pm The load is definitely not as good as compared to bus 76. Still have to wait for some days to view the demand of this service as it may change.

Took sv52 during the evening peak from Clementi MRT to Bishan Int. Full seating from when I board all the way until outside J8. This service will encounter traffic jam on 2 places: opp Bt Timah Plaza (difficult to filter right from the busstop) & PIE slip road into Adam Rd/Lornie Rd
