  The EpBus was spotted on 22 Oct at Bandar Baru Klang in the state of Selangor. It now bears the registration number XB 9695R.

  X regoes are reserved for class 5 vehicles (heavy vehicles with more than 2 axles), not just trailer heads.

  There is one former CSS bus (Hino 23 that is now registered as YK1670. It was donated to RGS to be a "Magic Care-a-van". Was it 302T?

  You mean it's registered under X for being 3-axle? Would that mean if someone bought a VO3x, or LO3x, or etc for private use, it has to be register as class 5? How about those coaches with 3 axles? I've seen them them registered as private hire before.

  but don't forget 1 thing, the Epbus is not for ferrying passengers, hence it is not registered as a private bus. If its not for the fact that it has 3-axles it would have been registered as Y rego. Another example is the Magic Care-a-van. It is not registered as a private bus either, but as a class 3/4/5 heavy vehicle (Y rego) for the same reason.

  I can't find the Magic Care-a-Van's registration records on any databases. Has it been scrapped?

  Yes, the departure of this bus was one of the reasons why 9889 got pushed into service. Read that 9889 was rotting in depot for 2 years before that.
