The first time i saw the Sentosa model, i was a little displeased because we all know its not actually the VolvoB7....furthermore, the real bus is not even 12metres in length.Originally posted by sBs_boy:Actually.. the so called Sentosa Model Bus is jut a TOY to me.. Nt really a "MODEL" to me.. From what we all know, the peeps from sentosa mentioned that itz a Volvo B7RLE running on the Island itself.. BUT.. if you look closely.. it looks more of a MAN NL263 rather than a Volvo B7RLE... Btw.. if you guys are looking for a TOY.. i would recommand that you do not buy the SBST model.. it doenst worth it.. it is meant to be a Collectors Item.. Not a Toy for us to play with...
Have...the Sentosa Volvo B7 do have rear window but its slightly smaller than the toy model's.Originally posted by The_Bus_Guide:Hmm. Definetely not a scaled down version of the Volvo B7RLE running in Sentosa. A clear giveaway is the rear window on the model! The real Sentosa B7RLE don't have a rear window.
Originally posted by hseochin:S$ 20 ?? i've to admit that's too low & not even enough to cover my purchasing cost i recall around S$ 40 these things don't tend to come cheap here & they only import a few & once the stocks depleted they don't tend to bring in anymore, which i find is 'good' because that helps to preserve the investment value for those few people who bough them here.
Therefore, being more generous (meaning possibly making nil profits from clearing it) my price would be >= S$ 40

Die cast metal if i'm not wrong
The wheel and the length is not accurate...
Will have to wait till March 2006 when Sentosa may decide to release the LRT model... Wow...thanks a lot for the link and for the info.... wah, if i buy all da buses available, i think it would really burn a hole in my pocket and my wallet...Originally posted by Acx1688:I saw the Sentosa Bus in a Toy Shop along North Bridge Rd[near Sultan Mosque] yest.
The shop's name is Tai Sheng Toys... quite big...
The Sentosa Bus is inside the show case... It also sells HK's NWFB playset...
if anyone wants to buy bus models...can go to this website: www.jotus.com
i myself have bought quite a few models from the online store
Originally posted by hseochin:I've just visited the jotus website. Interesting new way to buy models instead of physically flying there to buy ! But my dislike of online buying is that one is not able to inspect the actual product before buying it so as to ensure one is not given a 'sub-standard' piece, which could be troublesome to exchange ?!
I note that Citaro model is die-cast with 1:76 scale, not quite a 'standard' scale like HO or 1:43 unfortunately ! Also this maker Creative Master Northcord, never heard of them before but how you find the model's quality ?? In terms of sharpness of edges, accuracy of details, paintwork finishing ? Also since it's die-cast (metal hence !) @ only 1:76 is the sharpness & accuracy as good as on the high quality plastic models like Herpa of 1:87 scale ?
I also note they only make 1000 pieces this model. It seems the regular 3-door red colour version is more popular as the 2000+ pieces were all sold out !
Overall of that model website, i notice they cater mainly to RHD models used in Hong Kong & England ? I hardly can find any model used say in Germany or rest of Europe ?? Seems they don't have any model of the modern German coaches ?
The SBS Transit Twin-Pack Volvo Olympian models are also produced by Creative Master Northcord.Originally posted by hseochin:I note that Citaro model is die-cast with 1:76 scale, not quite a 'standard' scale like HO or 1:43 unfortunately !
