But are they very hot very slow and very noisy?Originally posted by Manager433:I still remembered taking that old double decker bus when I'm in pri sch. Each trip cost me onli $0.25
The Leyland Atlanteans plays a significant role in SBS fleet, as Leyland produced the Atlanteans DDs until 1984. If you mean about the 3 reasons that you have stated, the engine was noisy, the back of the bus (the lower deck) was hot and the speed was very slow due to age (friction do occurs)Originally posted by SGEMP:But are they very hot very slow and very noisy?
Also why SBS liked the Leyland Atlanteans so much?
The back of the LAs was very hot. I recalled sitting back there as a child. I dread sitting there, fell like wanna scream my head off, worst was when its crowded and on a scorching sunny day....like ovenOriginally posted by Apex-LW'21:The Leyland Atlanteans plays a significant role in SBS fleet, as Leyland produced the Atlanteans DDs until 1984. Me too! In 1992-1994, I always took Svc 5 from Bt Panjang to Queenstown, especially the LAs with Alexander L & Duple Metsec body, very hot & stuffy behind, they should install fans instead. It is still around in China when SBS retires the LAs.Originally posted by muziq bus:The back of the LAs was very hot. I recalled sitting back there as a child.
