1) On Sunday, 20 November 2005, SMRT will launch Service 882 in conjunction with the opening of Sembawang Bus Interchange which is located along Sembawang Vista, next to Sembawang MRT Station. SMRT bus services 167, 859, 980 and 981 will also be amended to operate from the new interchange.
2) Three other services, namely 169, 856 and 962 will continue to serve Sembawang Town enroute from Woodlands and Yishun interchanges.
3) Introduction of Service 882 and amendments to services 167, 859, 980 and 981

Service 882 will serve the town from the interchange to Sembawang Park via Sembawang Vista, Canberra Road, Canberra Link and Sembawang Road.
-Service 167: Sembawang Interchange to Bukit Merah Interchange
Service 167 will be relocated from Sembawang Road End Terminal to operate from the interchange. The service will ply Sembawang Vista, Canberra Road, Canberra Link, Sembawang Road and thereafter continue along its existing route to Bukit Merah Interchange.
-Service 859: Sembawang Interchange to Yishun Interchange
The service will be extended to enhance connectivity between neighbourhoods 3, 4 and 5, and to provide access to the mosque, wet market, school and other amenities along Canberra Road. It will operate via Sembawang Vista, Canberra Road, Admiralty Lane, Admiralty Link, Sembawang Drive, Admiralty Drive, Sembawang Crescent and thereafter continue along its existing route to Yishun Interchange.
-Service 980: Sembawang Interchange to Lorong 1 Geylang Terminal
Service 980 will be relocated from Admiralty Road West Terminal to operate from Sembawang Interchange. The service will ply Sembawang Vista, Sembawang Drive, Sembawang Avenue and thereafter continue along its existing route to Lorong 1 Geylang Terminal. Commuters using the bus stops along Canberra Road have access to Service 856.
-Service 981: Sembawang Interchange to Senoko Industrial Estate
The service will be extended from Sembawang Way to Sembawang Interchange via Sembawang Drive and Sembawang Vista.
4) The adult fares on new Service 882 and amended services 167, 859, 980 and 981 are based on distance travelled. The guidelines on concession fares for senior citizens and children/students continue to apply.
5) The new Sembawang Bus Interchange, conveniently co-located with Sembawang MRT Station, will serve as an integrated transport hub where commuters can enjoy easy access to both bus and train services. The interchange will also replace the roadside terminals at Sembawang Road End and Admiralty Road West.
6) Information on the service changes will be disseminated to commuters through posters at bus stops of affected routes (please see attached copy), service guides on board affected buses as well as service information boards at Sembawang Bus Interchange.
