That one, maybe possible if talking abt late nightOriginally posted by SBS3688Y:That's right. But I believe this route will be in higher demand at night, coz its more cooling over there and the scenery at night is really beautiful! (Its also a popular fishing spot over there.)
Also suitable for hikers at night and sometimes camp there.Originally posted by sbst275:That one, maybe possible if talking abt late night

Svc 401 operates Sun & PHS. Most people goes to East Coast Pk to enjoy themselves during the weekends.Originally posted by sbst275:Hopes there are more bus svs @ East Coast
The car parks are quite full during Weekends
Only reason why ppl all drive there is because of the bus sv
Obviously ppl are asking for moreOriginally posted by Apex-LW'21:Svc 401 operates Sun & PHS. Most people goes to East Coast Pk to enjoy themselves during the weekends.
Obviously you haven't seen the situation at East Coast Park on weekdays and Saturday mornings.Originally posted by sbst275:Obviously ppl are asking for more
I strongly agree with this, but not the "reduce stress" theory.Originally posted by iveco:East Coast Park is within walking distance from Marine Parade town centre. If you go there on a weekday, just get any bus that goes to Parkway Parade and walk from there. The purpose of Svc 401 is to take the pressure off Marine Parade services on Sundays.
That's why 401 not served on weekdays & Saturdays, most people drove to East Coast Pk.Originally posted by sinicker:reasons why 401 is not popular among beach-goers :frequency kinda bad. i wait for the bus or i walk out to Marine Parade to take the other buses, same time anyway.
frm ECP to Parkway Parade? wah very good. but frm Parkway Parade to ECP so far?!
why ply Siglap Rd? ply the conventional Bedok South Rd, Bedok South Ave 1 leh.. den enter ECP quicker. can be used as a comparator. if 196 come 1st, i take 196. if 401 come first, i take 401 since they ply the same route and 401 goes to ECP some more. at TJC bus stop, ppl taking 12 frm Pasir Ris/Tampines can transfer to 401.
on friday nights, i have to rely on the Marine Parade Road services.
i can safely tell u that most takers of service 401 are the "people who see the bus coming" and take the bus. they are not those who patiently wait for 401 at the bus stop.
It does operate on Saturdays.Originally posted by Apex-LW'21:That's why 401 not served on weekdays & Saturdays, most people drove to East Coast Pk.![]()
The queue could be long on Sv 401 as I went to Bedok Int before.Originally posted by SBS9818A:I presume some of you have not seen the queue at Bedok Int for Sv. 401 on Saturday afternoon and Sundays.
How can this be?!Originally posted by Apex-LW'21:The queue could be long on Sv 401 as I went to Bedok Int before.![]()

From here, I can only admit that even though I was a resident of Bedok, I did not have enough time to see all these for myself...........Originally posted by SBS 233 X:I saw that too at Bedok.
