That remains a mystery for the time being ! I've not seen any signal in the air yet !
Seems to me the operators here are so used to buying buses in bus-chassi form only (for 'big' buses) that for bus models marketed in monocoque platform
format they seem 'slow' in being receptive to these ? Maybe their bus body production know-how in Singapore is not yet ready to build bodywork on such chassi designs ?? Depends on which marque it's from, i observe.
If it's a world class leading reputable marque like M-B e.g. then whether from Korea even India etc. the 'standard' is more less still there as the QC remains stringent with some German supervision.
But if it's some home grown marque then it's far less promising !!
Just look @ the KIA vans, minibuses & trucks in Singapore e.g. in terms of their diesel engine technology (noise vibration harshness performance areas), suspension ride comfort, even safety engineering etc. compare them to the what i'll call true 1st world standard vehicles like those from Germany or France & it's really quite easy to see the 'gap' between these Continental marques & the Korean ones ! These Korean stuff tend to be backdated 'hand me down' based products whereas the better Continental ones tend to be truely the state-of-the-art ! first when korean cars was introduced into the market years back...after 3 years the car sure have problem...dunno if after 3 years the korean bus will have problem...
