I dunno about futuristic sounds, but certainly I've seen DM3500s going around like they are on stilts. Still, I'm not sure if this indicates that the kneeling still exists.Originally posted by eX.A.K.R.:A barrage of questions to keep this thread busy...
3. Not sure whether I asked this before, but it seems like some Volvo B10M MK IV DM3500 buses are quite different from each other, and I'm not talking about SBS 2754X or SBS 2779A. Some have a more "electric" or "futuristic" engine sound than others, while a few exhibit "kneeling" features, something more usually found on low-floor buses. Still others emit a "hiss hiss hiss hiss" sound somewhere from the front axle. What's going on?
Is SBS3684H painted from amdep/bram?Originally posted by 105090:repainted Scanias from BR and AMK.. the badge is left untouched/ unrepainted.. can differentiate from the bedok ones
dont know about this... its on 225 for some time.. not just recently..Originally posted by SBS 233 X:Is SBS3684H painted from amdep/bram?
Looks like the 93xx to me , but where was place? can't see clearly from the backgroundOriginally posted by eX.A.K.R.:OK, just came across a video of a smoking () SBS Transit bus on route 147 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uO7s_SJgHmY&NR). Does anyone know what is the registration number of that bus? Has it been repaired and returned to service?
The bus in the video seems like a batch 2 or 3 Volvo Olympian to me...
I dont think it is painted in AMDEP/BRAM.......Originally posted by SBS 233 X:Is SBS3684H painted from amdep/bram?
Its just metres from Clementi MRT station, at the traffic light.Originally posted by Volvo Olympian:Looks like the 93xx to me , but where was place? can't see clearly from the background
They are actually just O405G since they are not low floor.Originally posted by jetabt767400:Ah yes, a technical question.
Are the SMRT bendy (articulated) buses equipped with engines different from other 0405N, its submodel. As far as I know the bendies and habits alike are modelled 0405GN. Same engine but with turbo? Engine sound seems different.
The suffix 'N' would indicate a stepless bus. There are no stepless variant of the O405 here. In Singapore, the O405 have normally aspirated enignes (no turbo) while the turbocharged engine is used on the O405G.Originally posted by jetabt767400:Ah yes, a technical question.

rear. dennis trident and 997A is driven on the middle axle though. very interesting.Originally posted by iveco:Are buses (and trucks) rear-wheel drive or front-wheel drive vehicles?
could it be, in arbp's case, the bus went to bbdep for maintenance, then the next day will start from bbdep which the driver will noe?Originally posted by stooper:I have a question about those depots that share buses, like BB/AR and BR/AM
In the first place, why do some services use buses from the other depot? Not enough buses in one depot?
And secondly, let's say the driver reports to BB, then he finds out the bus he is going to drive is going to be deployed from AR, does he have to travel to AR himself? Will there be enough time? And does he return the bus at the end of he day to AR?
no, but recently yes, i do see more and more O405's on 852.Originally posted by ah-soh:Does Sv852 gets at least 1 O405 cameo everyday? Cos I saw sv.852 using O405 very frequently but by right they should have a full Dennis fleet.
BB and AR shares buses more frequently than between AMK and Braddell..Originally posted by stooper:I have a question about those depots that share buses, like BB/AR and BR/AM
