172 & 206 used to serve LCK Rd (end).Originally posted by SBS9889U:Anyone knows when 175 was introduced and was there any other bus services that served Lim Chu Kang before 175?
Service 172 used to serve Lim Chu Kang to Shenton Way in the 1980s till it was shortened to Jln Anak Bukit in early 1990s. Service 206 was between Boon Lay (Jurong) to Lim Chu Kang.Originally posted by iveco:172 & 206 used to serve LCK Rd (end).
In fact, the only part of 172 route that remains today is the (old) CCK Rd stretch. The construction of CCK town and KJE caused permanent changes to the road system in the area. Not to mention the amendment to start from BNL Int and shortening from Shenton Wy to Upp Bt Timah and later CCK int.
About 1 hour 40 mins or more.Originally posted by dhilip:may i know how long does it takes for service 30 from harbourfront to boon lay int?
around 9am.Originally posted by SBS1985C:I would like to know the journey time for S 30 if I board it at 6 to 7 am @ bedok Int and travelled all the way to Boon Lay Int.
I think not so serious lah... Harbourfront to BNL is already halfway... When I took the full 30 last time, the journey was 2h30. So I estimate HBF to BNL would be around slightly more than 1h.Originally posted by SBS9889U:About 1 hour 40 mins or more.

HBF to BDK can be rather fast becasue part of the route is express.Originally posted by stooper:I think not so serious lah... Harbourfront to BNL is already halfway... When I took the full 30 last time, the journey was 2h30. So I estimate HBF to BNL would be around slightly more than 1h.

Tampines also , 67 serves the NorthWest area'sOriginally posted by ah-soh:Is Pasir Ris and Punggol the only interchanges that does not have a bus to the Western side of Singapore?
All buses are washed daily (not sure about those with 3D ads). Buses without 3D ads will go through the buswash machine, which takes only abt a min to wash. Buses with 3D ads are parked in separate lots & sub-contracted out for manual washing I think.Originally posted by chickenlittle2:Actually do these sbs tranist buses wash their bus daily? The exterior ? I knew that those with the 3D ads would not wash.
There's not just only ONE buswash facility in a depot. You can see the row of topup points & buswash facilities from outside SLBP.Originally posted by cck_190:the buses are not washed daily. it's impossible that the bus wash facility can cope with thousand plus buses per day. it would increase the frequency of the services and would be a waste of water if the buses are washed every single day. the buses probably go through a rotational basis of maybe once a month or around once in two weeks (i ain't sure about the regularity)
wait, i don't mean to go against you but if the buses are wahsed daily, why are there quite a number of dirty buses?Originally posted by samtlk:There's not just only ONE buswash facility in a depot. You can see the row of topup points & buswash facilities from outside SLBP.
Sorry if I may sound blunt.Originally posted by cck_190:wait, i don't mean to go against you but if the buses are wahsed daily, why are there quite a number of dirty buses?
