Should use SBS1688K on full route on sv 163, then use the MK2s/MK3s to do short tripsOriginally posted by sBs_boy:Dont Forget theres 163A.. itz alwayz seen doing 163A rather than 163.

I personally think that the St Michael's Est Terminal is very complicated(the routes going there), some roads are only 1 directional.Originally posted by choww:Notice that buses serving St Michael's Est all have additional side destos place on the front of the windscreen to state the direction heading..Does it help much?
this thing had happened for many years already. in fact the present destos/ arrangement is at least the 3rd generation. first was the front desto as present. Then they switched to IN/OUT signs which could be seen on 315, 317 some time ago. Then they removed all front-indications. no desto, no In/OUT. then now the destos are there again.Originally posted by choww:Notice that buses serving St Michael's Est all have additional side destos place on the front of the windscreen to state the direction heading..Does it help much?
As express 502 does not start frm an interchange..Originally posted by choww:Why?Low demand?

Oh really? 502 plies along pioneer/jurong west/east/orchard/suntec/esplanade/city hallOriginally posted by SBS9889U:It is free ride leh, how has it got to do with got demand or not ah? The apparent reason seemed to be that 174 would attract more attention onto the silkair bus itself as it plies Bt Batok/Bt Timah/Farrer/City Hall and Chinatown which 502 doesnt.

Speed Limiter
I heard buses got a "speed limiter" right...? How does it really work? Will the bus slow down when hitting the maximum speed or will it gives out a sound like vans?

they may exchange with some SDs and use the SDs to implement new svcs from CCK - Pasir Ris maybe?
Dun think so..sv518 also have the free ride..Originally posted by The_Bus_Guide:502 is a premium service. Give free ride later lose money. Cannot. No way.
How actually does the speed limiter work? By holding the RPM of the engine constant? What happens if it's a downslope? Will the bus be able to exceed 60km/h?Originally posted by samtlk:The bus will not have anymore acceleration once it hits 60km/h, meaning the bus will cruise at 60km/h no matter how hard the BC step on the accelerator.
And also Silkpro on 502.Originally posted by choww:Dun think so..sv518 also have the free ride..
