think SBS691G is burntOriginally posted by toll123:does anyone knows why SBS691G is on non user layout status?
Sorry to say this, but I don't think you will be that stupid to do that just for the sake of finding the bus, right?Originally posted by jetabt767400:I was thinking of getting into BBDEP disguised, at most get kicked out and name blacklisted, just to find 691G, and some other non-listed buses.
Damage beyond repair, is just as good as being a write-off.[/quote]
1872U, non-user laid up status, means damage beyond repair or not economical repair. This is how I interpret non-user laid up status.
Hmmm... When was that? I don't remember 1785M in SLBP.Originally posted by jetabt767400:1785M, scrapped, former SLBP SP, could be retirement.
It was wiki, I really never study SBST buses, just quoted from sgwiki...Originally posted by stooper:Hmmm... When was that? I don't remember 1785M in SLBP.![]()
vehicles may be scrapped or de-registered even if the COE or lifespan is not upOriginally posted by jetabt767400:Hmm, I guess its not amounting to write off, for non-user laid up. As in not the chassis is destroyed, eg. in fire. It might be insufficient parts to repair, or the bus is damaged superficially and can be taken out of service and until the COE expires, then the bus can be lawfully scrapped.
No one company would have space to accomodate its can-be-scrapped-but-don't-want-to-scrap buses. BBDEP may be big, but got its constraints.
Going into depot, well, its not well guarded, I could just give reason like visiting BC/taxi driver (taxis can go in for refuel), so I get pass. Work or not, if I survive, I will tell.
Does anyone know the answer to the above question?Originally posted by stooper:Does anyone know why, for some services, 2 identical timesheets per duty are printed, and each timesheet is used every other day (as in rotated daily)?
The buses which are non-user lay-up are most probably used for parts.Originally posted by jetabt767400:Hmm, I guess its not amounting to write off, for non-user laid up. Certainly its age that's causing the deterioration. Best representative? Tough, but I do like 455Y 072. Pretty neat bus with the now rare howling. If I close my eyes and pretend the seats were of the original type, I would have thought it was 10 years ago!Originally posted by chickenlittle2:Actually do those MB 0405 had the jerking problem last time? then, what is the bus today to represent how gd they are last time?
SBS73R is the only Scania to receive that treatment from what i know. Other then the new interior and floor, they also did something to the exterior bodyworks. On top of that, they used the same kinda ticket dispenser as the B9.Originally posted by SBS9828X:SBS73R got new interior and the floor is one of a kind. any1 seen it?
is it on other refurbished buses?
They replaced the 2 side grille, repainted it, and also removed one of the roof hatches.Originally posted by sBs_boy:SBS73R is the only Scania to receive that treatment from what i know. I hope that other few units of OAC/CAC Scanias will get the same treatment,Scania is renowned for its longlife engine lasting(6-8 years) compared to Volvos(3-5 years)/Mercedes(3-5 years)/DAF(2-4 years)/A-Dennis(2-5 years).(For citybuses uses)Originally posted by SBS3625D:They replaced the 2 side grille, repainted it, and also removed one of the roof hatches.
