Look at the date, it is just about 3 months away from its retirement date. I think that it can be in lay up status until this date, after which the bus cannot be used any more.

lay up mean that the vehicle is temporary not in use. No road tax is being paid during the lay up period. So the bus cant be on the road.. it need to be park at a designated area/depot and cant be move around without permission.Originally posted by stooper:What does Lay Up Expiry Date mean? i think some parts of this bus might be damage and since it is almost reach its life span, so SBST might not want to replace the parts. So it put SBS3731E in lay up status and might use those spare parts from this bus instead. Just like those NAC Scania.

accordingly to LTA, lay up will be granted for a period of one year at one time, up to maximum of 3 years. So sad, it was doing well a few mths back. It was cameoing in different svc and I think the last time I saw it was on svc 502. Did it happen to meet an accident?

Anybody know Nightrider services goes back to which depot after their trip.. Like NR 7 and Night Owl 89 from Pasir Ris?

Are all CT18 buses perm for service 225?
SgWiki only claimed that SBS 0857X is the only crossover perm for 225 and CT18. Today I saw SBS 0819G on 225W, former CT18 bus, but it's not been the first time already. Probably someone needs to update the regos on SgWiki. -

Double deckers also hae this kind of door configuration. All Dennis Tridents, VSO's and B9TL's spot a kind of plug door. No other buses had this kind of door.
SMRT buses have majority of the bendys fitted with plug doors.
