876R (BN 31) and 877M (BB 170/SP) have the ZF gearboxes. 881A (BN 293) has Voith gearbox.
984L is one B10M with right grille. the other is a 59X'er Mk III. No idea what the grille is for, but I suspect is simply extra ventilation for the mid-mounted engine. -

the 59x mk3 is either 590P or 593G or 597X (all are HG SP), been making me wondering for sometime.. -

It does shift 5A, 10P, so that means it will be in service the whole day and will form the last bus.
It wasn't on that shift on 13/1 though as it was replacing 9065E on shift 24E as it was being repainted.

Two questions regarding MB O405 buses, one belonging to SBS Transit and another belonging to SMRT:
1. I once boarded a MB O405 on route 161 (can't remember whether it was a CAC or OAC, but my memory is leaning towards CAC, and likely a cameo), and I noticed that it's engine sounded different from the other SBS Transit MB O405 buses, and doesn't even remotely sound like SMRT's version. The engine's sound is reminiscent of the Volvo B10M buses (especially when decelerating). Can anybody answer why it sounds so different? I suspect that either it's gearbox or engine has been replaced or modified, or has a different configuration.
2. Most Hispano-bodied MB O405 buses owned by SMRT has rectangular windows at the rear, with right angled-corners. However, there is this particular one (an OAC bus) with a rounded rectangular rear window. Why, and where is that bus now?
