yes. but you will not be entitled to a free NR ride transfer.Originally posted by sinicker:if my ezlink card has low value (let's say, $0.10), can i take NR service home?
NO...I've seen people getting the LOW VALUE - PAY CASH message even though they have $1.40 left. Even during the farecard days, the minimum value in the card had to be $1.00.Originally posted by sinicker:if my ezlink card has low value (let's say, $0.10), can i take NR service home?
oh..? i got a farecard used to have 10c or 15c left, i used it to take Express, but can still accept..Originally posted by samtlk:NO...I've seen people getting the LOW VALUE - PAY CASH message even though they have $1.40 left. if it's farecard days, can understand cos the sum of the remaining value and the travel deposit ($2 for adult and $1 for child/student then) exceeds the fare payable.Originally posted by samtlk:NO...I've seen people getting the LOW VALUE - PAY CASH message even though they have $1.40 left. zhun bo? $0.00 can?Originally posted by samtlk:you can't compare Express with NR. U can do a transfer on Express even if your card value is exactly $0.00. NR is special....don't even have transfer rebate.
That is the exception...NR-NR transfer...cos 1 free transfer. NiteOwl no exceptions at all.Originally posted by ^tamago^:NR's second trip is $3.00 ($3.00), that means the trip is $3, but the transfer rebate is $3.
... niteowl is niteowl. no transfer rebates. not useful since we can't take it towards town to change to another NR home...Originally posted by samtlk:That is the exception...NR-NR transfer...cos 1 free transfer. NiteOwl no exceptions at all.
In the farecard days, you still could use it until $-2.00 under transfer. I remember, I made my farecard $-2.45 after 98, then 502 then transfering to 179. Then I switched to my Ez-link card...Originally posted by ^tamago^:if it's farecard days, can understand cos the sum of the remaining value and the travel deposit ($2 for adult and $1 for child/student then) exceeds the fare payable.
$0.01 for single trip. $3.01 for 2-trip journey.Originally posted by sinicker:thanks for answering my queries. anw last night i reached home quite early so didnt have to take NR.but it's still unclear. how much left then cannot take NR?
Best is to have at least $1.50. Better be safe than sorryOriginally posted by sinicker:thanks for answering my queries. anw last night i reached home quite early so didnt have to take NR.but it's still unclear. how much left then cannot take NR?
NEW RIDEOriginally posted by ^tamago^:i'd love to see the reader with NEW RIDE and a negative value...
sameOriginally posted by sinicker:the VSOs like 9803S, 9806J which do other services in the morning before doing Citybuzz....
the bus driver is the same or change?
means change uniform? then they start shift at Bedok, end shift at Marina Centre?Originally posted by alex_cai92:same
BC stick to ONE timesheet, the timesheet stated x-over etc. ALL belongs to ONE BC, the BC MAY change bus...
so like the timesheet says do some bn svc den go do citybuzz, same BC, same bus...
yes. a moderator in SINbus answered my question and he said the BC change uniform.Originally posted by 105090:means change uniform? then they start shift at Bedok, end shift at Marina Centre?
good. i will try it the negative bus rides soon.Originally posted by eX.A.K.R.:Regarding the questions about low values on EZ-Link cards and still being able to ride, it is possible to make a transfer from bus to bus or MRT to bus with zero or negative value on your EZ-Link card, as ong as it is a sucessful transfer. I tried it before, and I also once asked some SMRT staff who said that this is possible.
Here's a somewhat related question:
Under what circumstances will your ride cost you $0.00 (no, this is not a mistype)? I actualy have seen this happen before with my adult EZ-Link card before, the most recent being when I was taking either route 2 or 24 (can't remember).
Here are the details of that trip as far as I can remember:
Route 859 - Sembawang, between blocks 357 and 359 -> Yishun, block 923
Route 39 - Yishun Interchange -> Pasir Ris, block 738
Route 89 - Pasir Ris, Block 738 -> before Singapore Aviation A.C. (near Changi Vilage)
Route 2 - Changi Village -> somewhere along Upper Changi Road East (can't remember exactly where) (I took this bus some time after my trip on route 89 as I had lunch at Changi Village; the reader still showed that I made a transfer if I remember correctly)
Route 24 - Upper Changi Road East -> Changi Airport Terminal 2
The portion hilighted in red was the portion I recall seeing a fare deduction of $0.00 (not sure exactly which route).
That is because of you $1.90 Fare cap.. they will show $0.00 ($0.25)Originally posted by eX.A.K.R.:Regarding the questions about low values on EZ-Link cards and still being able to ride, it is possible to make a transfer from bus to bus or MRT to bus with zero or negative value on your EZ-Link card, as ong as it is a sucessful transfer. 89: $0.80 ($0.25)
2: $0.00 ($0.00) <-- reader shows ($0.25)
