Yes, it's the only SMRT bus with radiator at the front.Originally posted by iveco:Some questions about DAF:
Does it have a front-mounted radiator and how is its engine mounted?
237 & 232 merged when TPY AC Int was opened.Originally posted by choww:Anyone have picture of the press release for the withdrawal of 237?

SBS9690A was one of the 111 TridentsOriginally posted by Volvo Olympian:Yes , both were HGDEP , i remember 111 had Tridents , 97 also if im not wrong
502 as well. It had VSOs and Tridents.Originally posted by sexy girls:last time before NEL opened, was 97 and 111 under HGDEP? what are the buses used during that time?

B9TLs with Voith gearboxOriginally posted by SBS9806J:What are the Voith B9TLs?
hmm, HGDEP didnt control any LO2X leh, even during the NAC DD era.Originally posted by SBS3688Y:NAC DDs:
97 : Leyland olympian 2x
97 : Mercedes O305
111 : Mercedes O305
AC DDs:
97 : Volvo Olympian (esp SBS92xx, 93xx)
111 : Volvo Olympian (one of them was SBS9321R)
for 51/97/197's case, i believes that the O405s exists until they became FAC in 1998.Originally posted by collinnxk88:hmm, HGDEP didnt control any LO2X leh, even during the NAC DD era.
and if im not wrong, VOs displaced O305s on 97/197/51 and some other services TOTALLY in 1995 once they were out on the roads? or isit partially till 1997?
and before the NEL, HGDEP was the major controller of 97/111/502? remembered that i always got a VO/strider for like 8 out of 10 times on 502 at that time.
EDIT: Btw, i saw a photo of a Trident in SBST livery on 97 in a photo gallery. most probably it's a cameo i think.
LO2X were from JRDEP. Svc 97 has been under JRDEP (now SLBP) since day 1.Originally posted by collinnxk88:hmm, HGDEP didnt control any LO2X leh, even during the NAC DD era.

All JRDEP (SLBP) routes had OAC Mercs from 1990 onwards.Originally posted by toll123:for 51/97/197's case, i believes that the O405s exists until they became FAC in 1998.
as for your 2nd question, if i am not wrong 111 was HGDEP fully controlled while 502 was majority HGDEP controlled (before that 502 was fully HGDEP controlled until buses like 9120, 9064, 155 etc came in), as for 97, i believe it is majority SLBP (JRBP) controlled before shortening to Marina Centre
i made a mistake in my post just now of mistaken NAC DD O305s with SD O405sOriginally posted by iveco:All JRDEP (SLBP) routes had OAC Mercs from 1990 onwards.
What are the regos? I only know SBS7407R is a Voith.Originally posted by SBS9888Y:B9TLs with Voith gearbox
There are 2 basic gearboxes for B9s
either ZF or Voith
The diff is from outside a Voith roars very loudly while a ZF doesnt as it accelerates
Really? From what I can tell, both roar when pushed. In fact the ZF ones seem to be more likely to roar.Originally posted by SBS9888Y:B9TLs with Voith gearbox

SBS7342T to SBS7346H are Voiths. SBS7403B and above are Voith. SBS7445E still unknown.Originally posted by SBS9806J:What are the regos? I only know SBS7407R is a Voith.
