From Toa Payoh Int to Bishan Int, which bus svc is cheaper & faster???
1. Svc 88 - From Toa Payoh Int to Bishan Rd & X-over to Bishan Int.
2. Svc 56 - From opp Blk 177 Toa Payoh Ctrl to Bishan St 11 & walk to Bishan Int.
3. Svc 57 - From opp Toa Payoh Swim Clpx to Bishan Int directly.
4. Svc 59 - From Toa Payoh Swim Cplx to Bishan Int directly.

Agree.. MRt is still better.. Itz faster and more direct.. If you're looking at bus service, the Most recommanded is Service 88.. 56 is not too bad.. Service 57 and 59 is a NO-NO.. it does a big round inside TPY before exiting and make itz way to Bishan.. Freq wise, 88 is the best follow by 56.. if you wanna take 57 or 59.. expect a long wait..Originally posted by lemon1974:mrt is the fastest lah... most direct..
bcoz on the left is the destination of the direction 1, since 64 started FROM Sims Pl towards MEI CHIN RD, so MEI CHIN RD is placed on the left...Originally posted by ah-soh:I came across this picture in the bus pic thread
Why the desko of 64 is not something like
Sims Pl 64 Mei Ling St
rather than
Mei Chin Rd 64 Sims Pl
especially since Sims Pl is the starting point and Mei Ling St is the actual looping destination?
yes. My dad once had -$3 in his ez-link as he keep transfering within 30mins, transfer transfer and transfer until negative $3...Originally posted by eX.A.K.R.:Regarding the questions about low values on EZ-Link cards and still being able to ride, it is possible to make a transfer from bus to bus or MRT to bus with zero or negative value on your EZ-Link card, as ong as it is a sucessful transfer. I tried it before, and I also once asked some SMRT staff who said that this is possible.
But if I'm not mistaken, svc 76 desto say YIO CHU KANG 76 SIGLAP RD.Originally posted by alex_cai92:bcoz on the left is the destination of the direction 1, since 64 started FROM Sims Pl towards MEI CHIN RD, so MEI CHIN RD is placed on the left...
like HARBOURFRONT 65 TAMPINES
TAMPINES --> HARBOURFRONT is direction 1 and HARBOURFRONT is the DESTINATION OF DIRECTION 1, thus HARBOUFRONT is placed on the left...
yeah correct!Originally posted by iveco:But if I'm not mistaken, svc 76 desto say YIO CHU KANG 76 SIGLAP RD.![]()
They remain at AMK & deployed on other services. Only the service gets transferred...the buses remain too, ie, 159 will use HG buses. The ex-159 buses at AMK depot will be redeployed on other services or become spares.Originally posted by 105090:what happens when a service transfer depots eg 159?
all BC report at AMK depot, go home from HG depot?
they become perm HG 159 BC?
or they remain at AMK and deployed on other services?
and how the buses travels smoothly from AMK depot to HG?
