Try go HG Int about 1+pm on saturdaysOriginally posted by eX.A.K.R.:OK, this is a somewhat stupid and simple question, but how do I catch SBS 9889U? Been wanting to try out this bus for quite some time...
If I'm not wrong, yes, they do. It's just that the exhaust is cleaner than the ones given out by diesel-powered vehicles. Hydrogen vehicles also do give out exhaust in the form of tiny water droplets. This picture, plucked from this page at londonbuspage.com , obviously shows a hydrogen bus giving out an emission of some sort from an exhaust pipe.Originally posted by stooper:Do CNGs have exhaust pipes?
there is only one museum bus lah. SBS310G.Originally posted by eX.A.K.R.:New question:
• I have often seen buses here being referred to as a "Museum Bus", especially in the Anything Unusual threads. I can also see that many of them seem to be SBS Transit's MB O405 buses. Just what is a "Museum Bus", and what is so special about them?
Another hint:Originally posted by eX.A.K.R.:OK, this is a somewhat stupid and simple question, but how do I catch SBS 9889U? Been wanting to try out this bus for quite some time...
OK... but why is it called a "Museum Bus"? Just what's so special about it?Originally posted by ^tamago^:there is only one museum bus lah. SBS310G.
it is painted in museum livery, and is used to fetch students on excursions to the museum, or any events that the museum wants to charter, they can use the bus. it has no standing pax area.Originally posted by eX.A.K.R.:OK... but why is it called a "Museum Bus"? Just what's so special about it?
something wrong lor. either:Originally posted by sexy girls:there is beeping sound coming from the driver's side of SBS 9585 X. wonder what is wrong?![]()
I'm afraid not in this way. Quite a few wrong infos here.Originally posted by ^tamago^:something wrong lor. either:
1. engine too hot
2. not enough fuel in tank (actually all the fuel gauges have been disabled cos it's faulty, keep beeping)
3. brake pressure not enough
4. air compressor faulty
5. any other major fault
pro.Originally posted by MS:I'm afraid not in this way. Quite a few wrong infos here.
If there're beeping noise like "bee......." could mean that the air pressure build up is not enough. The brakes will seize. Bus will have lack of acceleration & finally cannot move. If like that, the doors also won't work either. Use manually open.
If engine too hot which means overheated, the bus interlock will activate or engine cut off.
Fuel gauges disabled is to reduce cost as all buses have calculated sufficient fuel modified fuel tank to suit the SBST needs. In this way the fuel gauge becomes redundant, so it's removed so workshop will not need to care about it anymore. I was told by my LH that it was a project by my FM2 GM. Quite a daring calculated move.
Air compressor faulty have many meanings. If air compressor cannot achieve the correct compression pressure likely means it's leaking. Most of the time, engine oil will enter through the piston rings and contaminate the air system. If air compressor jam, the whole engine can be seized too since the air compressor draws it's dynamic powers from the engine.
If there's a "beee....." must check the panel what thing lights up then will know. Can be electrical faults too.

Seems like this beeping sound is peculiar to Volvo buses.Originally posted by Apex-LW'21:I've heard the beeping sound on TIB791H too.
I have heard it on Mark IVs too.Originally posted by SBS3625D:I hear "ding ding ding" on VO3X sometimes.
Does it still have the original grey seats with a blue stripe?Originally posted by ^tamago^:it has no standing pax area.
Nope, now with those normal red seats. The only thing special is it still have the bell button near the window. Aircons vents, the thing surround the window and the thing below the window is all blue in colour.Originally posted by stooper:Does it still have the original grey seats with a blue stripe?
