what does "second your ideas" means?Originally posted by sinicker:i second ur ideas.
Sounds quite ok, but if you go to the Fountain of Wealth and observe, you'll see that the situation at the convention centre bus stop is really bad, since the entrance to the taxistand/pickup point/carpark is located like metres just before the busstop and the fact that a lot of cars enter that little sideroad doesn't help since the buses usually get stuck behind cars or the other way round when the queue at the bus stop stretches way back to the entrace of Temasek Blvd.Originally posted by 105090:Looking at the traffic scheme, It is better for services to loop at Marina Centre. Why? first of all, take an example of sv133. It is a looping service. It stops at Exhibition centre and Carrefour. People can walk to Marina Square very easily. People going back home can also board at Exhibition centre and Carrefour. Convenient.
As for sv56/196/77/75/171/960... They alight at Pan Pacific. Those going to sun tec have to walk. When going back home, they have to walk all the way to Raffles Avenue/ Esplanade to board. If they are at Suntec, they whave to walk so far. some more Marina Centre cannot board/alight.
One idea is for Marina Terminal Service to commence service n such a way that it terminate like current 106, and commence like city bound 36.
Of course thats th answer from sbs/smrtOriginally posted by supremebull:And of course they could always take 133/857/97/111 for a short trip to Raffles Ave

Haha, imagine the SC drives the bus and leaves Yishun Interchange at 1730. I think he can only arrive back at Yishun interchange at 2030.Originally posted by ah-soh:it shall be very terrible seeing let's say 171 having 80 fare stages![]()

Cant u just understand that its even redundant to mail to them. Thats the only answer to be given. Ive asked before a simillar question. Their reply was that they cant have direct service from point A to point B for everyone. A transfer is required. SBST added that the they have a fare capOriginally posted by supremebull:In the first place, nowhere in my original post (2nd post on 2nd page) did I state contacting SBST or SMRT about any suggestions or giving feedback. I support walking to Esplanade to take Marina Center services. If any people want to make a transfer that's their choice, that's fine with me.
The main issue at work here with my one liner exchange is not about Marina Center terminal but whether your answers are evidently taken from any official replies from the transport companies, and not passing off your own opinions as their word.
Then what is the reason for 106 to ply Suntec City in one direction only? Couldn't it be like 864?Originally posted by SBS9828X:Cant u just understand that its even redundant to mail to them. and how do u suppose they go to Esplanade from there? Plus there's already sv36 at the opposite busstop.Originally posted by iveco:Also, there is only one service (107X) stopping at Tower II. Perhaps other routes like 162X or 700A could be amended to call at that stop as well.
There is...you can take sv36 to Orchard & transfer to sv111 (or sv105 from opp Four Seasons Hotel).Originally posted by iamgoondu:I remembered taking SBST195 from River Valley to Marina Terminal on a rainy day. My intention was to make a bus transfer or to take the same bus back to Commonwealth on that rainy day. Unfortunately SBST195 terminating outside Marina Square and there is NO other connecting bus on that bus stop, and I am forced to run in the rain to the opposite busstop.
I regretted my earlier action for not running across River Valley on that cats and dogs morning.
Perhaps there should have some connecting bus services from that bus stop, or SBST195 could terminate at Suntec instead where there are other connecting buses like SBst111.
Svc 864 is also one-direction. Raffles Blvd (Suntec City) is a one-way street.Originally posted by iveco:Then what is the reason for 106 to ply Suntec City in one direction only? Couldn't it be like 864?

Svc 97, 111, 502 & 857.and how do u suppose they go to Esplanade from there? Plus there's already sv36 at the opposite busstop.
What he means is the busstop at Temasek Boulevard going towards Rochor Rd. Currently only sv107X stop there & sv36 at the opposite stop.Originally posted by Apex-LW'21:Svc 97, 111, 502 & 857.
Do you mean the bus stop outside Suntec City?Originally posted by samtlk:What he means is the busstop at Temasek Boulevard going towards Rochor Rd. Currently only sv107X stop there & sv36 at the opposite stop.
after SICEC bus stop, services like 502, 133 make a 270 degrees turn.Originally posted by Apex-LW'21:Do you mean the bus stop outside Suntec City?
(B04 Temasek Blvd)
the bus stop under the bridge(linking two Suntec Towers)Originally posted by sinicker:after SICEC bus stop, services like 502, 133 make a 270 degrees turn.
107X makes a 180 degrees one. the one straight ahead.
wah lau, my explanation sucks.
B02 Temasek Blvd, just before Rochor Rd directly under the bridge linking Tower 2 & Tower 3.Originally posted by Apex-LW'21:Do you mean the bus stop outside Suntec City?

If you look at the thread on old Tibs routes, it is mentioned that 864 called at Suntec Tower II.Originally posted by Apex-LW'21:Svc 864 is also one-direction. Raffles Blvd (Suntec City) is a one-way street.
