502A and 502B operate the same timings????
Ah ha! This is better.Originally posted by ^tamago^:As some of you people have heard of, Express Service 502 will be amended soon, and this will affect many Westerners who are used to taking this bus. Hence, I think it's time to bring this out for a preview. The illustration below will give you a rough idea.
Provides better & direct connection between Boon Lay & Orchard Rd.Originally posted by 105090:so what is the target group of passengers for this 502?
People staying in Boon Lay going to Orchard for shop and play?

I was hoping that they won't amend it on the X'mas weekend, 'cos it'll cause disruption to the plans of many merrymakers who will be in town. Amending it one week before gives these people time to plan taking this into account.Originally posted by samtlk:Current amendment date (19 Dec 2005) is postponed until further notice.
yup, following the footsteps of 265/268.Originally posted by ah-soh:Eh? 502 will be operating from SLBP?![]()

Feels that more services can be started from SLBP rather than the over crowded Boon Lay interchange.Originally posted by sinicker:yup, following the footsteps of 265/268.
Maybe yes, additional 1 or 2 buses will deploy on Svc 502.Originally posted by SBS9889U:Will there be change in deployment?
What makes you say that there will be an increase in Fleet size.. ??Originally posted by Apex-LW'21:Maybe yes, additional 1 or 2 buses will deploy on Svc 502.
Unless there is higher demand, after amendments of Svc 502.Originally posted by sBs_boy:What makes you say that there will be an increase in Fleet size.. ??
The route is about the same distance as the current 502, but it uses the expressway instead of via Holland Rd, Clementi...meaning lesser traffic light junctions. If you're going during peak hours, its better to take 502A...its a lot faster than u think. The problem with the route is the jam along Stevens Rd during peak hours (ask any sv105 BCs & sv190 SCs & they'll tell u that); and Anderson Rd because there's a school there & the road is very narrow as well (sure to have some inconsiderate parents who anyhow park).Originally posted by ZYX2005:i had a close look at the 502 idea by tamago
the route is very long. in fact i think travelling time to orc from boon lay will be very longer than current 502
not very good
