I don't think 518A will go TPE, it dosen't seems to be on the way to Moulmein road. Since it'll skip Clementi, I will miss the chance to use 502 practically.. Normally use it as a quick way to get home from Orchard, Suntec City and Marine Parade/Esplanade.
Unlikely, but I hope they introduce some other quick service to Clementi, perhaps serving Dover too? -

502 was just my way of getting home quickly.. Otherwise I'll take 7, 105 or 106 from Wheelock Place, 7 or 106 at Orchard Blvd / Penang Road / Capitol, 97 or 106 from Marina Square / Esplanade or 97 from Suntec City.
Anyway, I noticed today that the metal plates giving information about 502 and the number "502" on the bus stop signs have been removed at Clementi and outside Holland Village. -
502 plates were either removed or replaced by the bigger metal sheet + timesheet on the same sheet of metal.

That would make it even longer than the new route, which defeats the purpose of amending it. IMO the reason why 502 skip Clementi is not only because of duplicating other services like 7/106, it is also to cut down the number of buses passing Clementi Station. oh well.. whats the saying.. sheep's fur grows on sheep's back..
already, when i saw 502 at 7.30am along PIE towards city, the bus only has like 15 passengers.. however, more loads seen during weekends.
maybe 502 is a weekend service more than a weekday peak service?
still, the PIE route is also long winded.. compare 52 and 74 between Jln Anak Bukit and Lornie road stretch... 74 and 52 can leave clementi at the same time, and reach lornie road almost together! -
