  Scrapyards, theres is one near TIBs Depot at Kranji. Another well-known known one is National steel at Tanjong Kling Road. and many more at Jurong.
  
  The smaller ones are at Defu. I go to the metal plants quite regualarly, there are recycling metal firms, and scrap vehicles as well.
  
  So how are the vehicles scrapped? the target is placed on the ground. the machine aka excavator with one big electromagnet, suck it up, then release. thats it!!

  All fittings like electrical parts must be removed first before scrapping.

  Ask permission from the security booths at the entrance, not sure about the exact location, could be around Defu Ind Est.

  just like office buildings & factories, they do have security guards. Every visitors must report to security booths to get visitor pass.
