New service 85

  i took service 103 last weekend and heard the bus driver talking to another driver(who is going back home in Woodlands)about services at the Jalan Kayu bus-stop(near Seletar Camp)when he said that SBST will be having a new service, 85(which is not confirmed yet)(NOW CONFIRMED), plying between Punggol and Yishun via Sengkang.
  (additional text)wah lao!! now the service REALLY start on 1 JAN 2006 WAH!! I SO DAMN HAPPY!!!

  I believe it follows Sv 62 into Sengkang and uses that new road to get to TPE

  PGL residents suay. have to let the bus make a round in SKG b4 gg in2 PGL. a case of "so near yet so far".

  The OLD Svc 85 was from Sengkang to HarbourFront.

  Even If there is NEW Service 85 , It cannot use Double Decks Due to the Yishun Int entrance height.

  Now would said it would use DDs on the first day?
  And perhaps if DDs are unfavourable, better frequency may be feasible.
