In my opinion, the new service 85 would not be using double decker buses but single deck buses. I don't think hgdep has enough double decker buses. That would not be the probable reason why Service 85 comes about. Most likely it's a service that SBS Transit would like to use to expand a bit more of its market into Yishun area. In that way, it would provide another alternative for passengers who want to get out of Yishun area to somewhere else.
