And sigh, if so, why is there Svc 14, Service 43, Service 48? Won't all the svcs with 4 get chopped?

the 4X sector only had 40 all the while. 14 okay wad.
u may want to ask SMRT why no NR4 and just be met with silence. -
theres isnt any sv44..
sv4x numbers are relatively new, except for oldest is sv40.
and you may think why theres sv74? or 48? -
The 4X range were used by services originating from Chai Chee Terminal in the 1970s. AFAIK, there were numbers 40, 41, 44, 45 and 46. Eventually, all were withdrawn except for 40. Later, 42 emerged when M2 was re-numbered. These 2 were the only services in the 4X range until the recent introductions of 43 and 48.

SLOW BUSES ANNOY PASSENGERS
Drivers intentionally slow down their vehicles by various means.
1. To linger longer at bus bays even after the passengers have boarded or disembarked.
2. To approach traffic lights slowly waiting for them to turn red.
3. The buses just crawl at a snail's pace from one bus stop to another.
These delay tactics, obviously made to keep to scheduled arrival times at bus terminals, are unfair to passengers.

He said that if u took a DD bus it will be much slower than a Single Decker bus -

7xx are Rapid Services, only 700. -
