you never counted the things that indeed did happen. if guesses are so accurate, i would not be here. i'll win lotteries everywhere in the world. then, there is no point knowing about what buses in singapore are about for i have better things to accomplish.
you know that the SBST people knows us and could always speak to us when needed.
i shall stay committed to reduce my commitments and interest to buses. nothing anyone says will shake this. when i say it will go, it will go.

Who is the one who declared months earlier that he is retiring from the bus community? (or something like that)
Who is the one who declared he is getting less involved in posting on SG Forums?
If my memory didn't fail me, I remember that person was you.
But why is it in a space of less than 2 to 3 months I see that you are still actively posting here, especially after Charles relinquished ownership of this forum? So does this mean you are boycotting me?

Alan, don't threaten us that you want to leave the forums here or what, because most of us do not miss you whatsoever.
I don't about the rest of the junior members here. Maybe they'll miss your juicy insider information and sorts and may want to make you stay. Maybe you want to 'threaten' them so they will make you stay. If that's the attention you are seeking, that is just plain vanity, that's all.
If you want to leave, just leave. Don't need to bang cymbals and beat gongs to announce your retirement, departure, or whatever. Don't need to wayang here, wayang there yeah.
And this time hold your word to your retirement.
On a side note, maybe you should email SBS Transit to see if it is ok to publish internal information or any information by the bus company because they are made known to the general public. Please inform me if they give you a letter of authorisation to do so.

I post in Chit Chat more than I post in Buses. I only come here to help answer questions when I know, like I do in other forums. I help more people out there than I help answer questions in Buses.
Now, it is clear you don't want this forum to flourish, right?
FYI, cameo postings in the past 3 months are 29th dec, 26th dec, 20th dec, 16th dec, 10th dec, 27th nov, 4th nov, 13th oct, 11th oct. all are for one single bus or two buses.

Please, calm down. There is no need to get heated up over anything.
We all share an interest in buses.
Please bear in mind that this forum is accessible by anyone and that everyone has to bear some responsibility regarding what he posts.
It would indeed be sad if reading these postings scare away some bus fans.
With regards to the sharing of knowledge, the claming of who found the info first really does not matter, as we would all know in time. Credits for first hand knowledge is neither important nor essential here as we are not "working as reporters in a magazine, like those in drama shows".
As long as everyone is willing to share what they know and come together as bus fans, everything would be ok. I do believe we are nice people, who do not put credits above interests and friendships.
As for any misunderstandings, we friends should endeaveour to clarify any misunderstandings we might have. Those on the sidelines should also help make the situation better as everyone is and would be involved in one way or another.
We all have bad moods but i hope we could clam down and communicate peacefully, even if comments by anyone irritates us either intentionally or unintentionally.
No one is above or better than another; we are all capable of doing this. Hence, may i appeal for everyone, including myself, to be calm and exercise restraint while repying or posting.

According to the BCs, sv174 may get to use the CNGs (don't know how many yet though) & sv243 will be getting 4 of them as perm, and they're not very enthusiastic about driving them. these CNG buses come in when SV85 was introduced. So did SLBP transferred any buses such as MK II out to HGDEP?

rather dusty ah choo. after being kept for 3 yrs i see stains. otherwise the bus runs nice.

air-con is a constant irritant. make so much noise. the bus driver jerked the bus. prob used to driving other models like merc.

Hi! Just stumbled into this bus forums and didn't realised that our CNG buses will be such a hit among all here. These CNG buses are out on the roads today. Although there were many technical hiccups after we take out the buses after so long of storage, we managed to solve them and push the buses onto the road. I had a session with Volvo on Friday evening and came to understand how the CNG bus works in the aspects of fuel carburetion. The rest of the bus is the same as a normal diesel bus. Like the MK4, The CNG bus has a 'boxer' styled engine. This bus is indeed a safe vehicle to travel with. Even safer than the normal diesel buses. (Our diesel buses are already maintained in the best condition as much as our budget can allow. Already so safe, imagine our CNG buses. No matter what Safety is No:1, no efforts and costs will be spared to give the public the best experience in travelling with SBST in terms of any aspect.) And most impt its new! Never put on the road for driving though stored for quite long.

This is a very rewarding job. I thank God for arranging me to study Mechanical Engg when I was in SP years ago. How would I know I'd land myself in such a great job years down the road. Satisfied my hunger for challenges and my needs in prospects.
Maybe you might want to consider taking engineering when you go to university and try to apply and join Comfortdelgro/SBST as an engineering personnel.
By seeing that actually the public appreciates our workshop's painstaking efforts to do up the CNG buses, I'm really very touched. Thank you very much! Because really many technical hiccups when we took out the vehicles from long term storage. My guys really put in their heart and soul to do up these buses so that the public can get to enjoy these CNG buses. No amount of thanks will be able to express my gratitude. I can only express my thanks by continue to maintain the best service my workshop can offer to everyone out there.
You can rest assured that all the buses (not only the CNG) you get to ride from SBST bears the trademark of every single technical personnel who dedicates their best professionalism and pride to ensure that the public gets to enjoy the best of our heart and soul.
